The Skill stat functions much like it does in the actual Fire Emblem games. It affects everything that has a percentage-based chance of happening. Critical hits, secondary effects of attacks (instant death from Ellie's Final Hour, for example), chance of hitting your target, and duo art activation are all more likely, the higher that stat is. Honestly, it's probably the best stat in the game. There's some exceptions, like your chance of evasion being influenced by the Speed stat, but most stuff is based on Skill.

Cube Tries to Play (Almost) Every Sonic Game
Glen-i replied to Cube's topic in General Gaming Discussion
This can't be official! I'm playing this dreck of a game and it doesn't fit the tone at all. *Digs into it a bit more* -
If I'm remembering right, duo arts are more likely to happen; - The longer a session is - The more Duo arts you have unlocked - The higher the two characters Skill stat is As you probably realised, that last one is important. It's not a massive boost. But it is one you can directly influence.

I assume you do, but you have Falling Star (Itsuki +Tsubasa), right? That's the only one you can actually miss. But yeah, get those ultimate weapons, get skills that let you bypass it's Repel capabilities and make sure Touma has Debilitate. Real useful debuff! EDIT: Oh, and if it summons Bishop Mirages, kill them immediately!

Yeah, that boss is something else. Obviously designed to be fought at Level 99. I never actually beat it on the WiiU version, I should give it a crack on the Switch version. The extra sessions with Tiki, Barry and Maiko as well as the few other extra tweaks that make the characters stronger in that version should help in beating it.

Thanks, but it's always the main issue with RPG's you have that I don't. It's hard for me to really commit to RPG's if I can't play them whenever I feel like it.

I've always wanted to play these games, but they're not readily available on consoles I own...

My concern for that is that Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate has already done the bolded, so the MH team might not think it's interesting to do it again. Of course, that can be mitigated by having the Zelda stuff be available via a Lynel fight! Nintendo series are just ripe for guest monsters! Massive missed opportunity if Capcom doesn't capitalise on that!

Cube Tries to Play (Almost) Every Sonic Game

At least that actually has entertaining cutscenes. For all the wrong reasons, mind. But they're funny. For the similar reason that Sonic 06 has some misplaced value. Sonic Chronicles is just miserable. -
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light (4th December 2020)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
@Jonnas there, managing to maintain the Shadow Dragon character list in Fire Emblem Warriors nicely! -
Awful, because he's the wrong bloody colour! Also, Monster Hunter Rise redid all the monster icons, so that doesn't even fit the style! 3/10, must try harder. OK, real talk, I already mentioned that Nintendo have plenty of monsters a few pages back, when I mentioned that Fury Bowser would fit pretty nicely as a Behemoth style event monster. I still think it's a good idea.

Cube Tries to Play (Almost) Every Sonic Game

For the sake of your well-being, don't play Sonic Chronicles. -
Ok, yeah. He's having a laugh with us at this point.

By modern day standards, sure. But in 1941, I can imagine that kind of thing was just unheard of. Most movie plots were relatively straightforward, so I can totally see why it became so famous.
-
While it would hit Nintendo pretty hard, Sony would be the one that would get the biggest injury if this was true. Nintendo gets most of it's revenue from first party software, but Sony are more reliant on third party support and this move would hurt l.

I mostly agree with everything @Dcubed says above, but with that theming he was going for, I couldn't resist with that reaction.

OK, I'm calling you three out. @Julius @Cube @MindFreak, watch Citizen Kane. It's on the BBC iPlayer right now. It's a good movie.

It's like, one of the most famous movie plot twists in all of movie history! There's a page on TV Tropes that discusses plot twists that are such common knowledge, that they're not really surprised anymore. And it's titled after what Rosebud is. (Specifically, it's named after the Family Guy joke about Rosebud) Quote from that site.

Friend Codes, Fruit, Trading and Photo Thread For Animal Crossing
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
During my time offline, I accumulated quite a number of real paintings. I have Common, Famous, Flowery, Jolly, Quaint, and a Wistful available. I don't mind giving them away, but if anyone has a real piece of art that I don't have, I'd be happy to bump them up the priority list. I'll wait a day before giving them away. EDIT: Solemn claimed by @Sméagol -
Or the worse case, a really awful game with really awful music that you can't ever purge from your memory! God, I hate you, Sonic Chronicles. You and your awful low-fi 30 second loops!
-
Holy crap! Watch Citizen Kane now. Wish I could've been in your position. And yeah, FFVII is the one with Cloud. Also play that.

BBC showed Citizen Kane and I took the opportunity to finally watch it for the first time. Often cited as one of the most important films in the history of cinema and first released 80 years ago, it only just recently got usurped from it's throne of "Highest Rated Film" by Paddington 2. The movie is probably most well known for it's opening scene, where super famous media mogul Charles Foster Kane is on his deathbed, utters the word "Rosebud", and then dies. The rest of the movie follows a journalist as he interviews various important people in Kane's life in order to find out exactly what "Rosebud" is. Before I even went into this movie, there was one massive flaw, and I think you all know what I'm going to say. The problem with this movie is everyone already knows what Rosebud is. It's one of those spoilers that's so famous that there's almost zero chance that you'll find a person who doesn't know what it is. It's like how every gamer worth their salt knows who dies in Final Fantasy VII, even if they've never played it. I first found out about this twist from that Family Guy joke about Peter Griffin taping over a video of the movie, immediately telling the viewer what Rosebud is. Because of that, I kinda thought that my enjoyment of Citizen Kane would be hampered, but two boob-less hours later, and this is what I have to say. Overall, it's a brilliant movie that should be watched not just for it's historical value, but for the genuinely good plot, even by today's standards. It really is the "Paddington 2 of Film" Also, this GIF is forever changed for me, now that I know that 90% of people who use it are using it wrong. Man, you just feel so sorry for Susan in that scene.

I can pop over for a quickie now before I go Monster Hunting. -
I mean, I want normal clothes as much as the next fashion Hunter, but it's the first event quest! Give it some time!

Wow, that Mona Lisa one is probably one of my favourite Miis so far! It's a work of art!
