  1. It's an absolute bargain for a beautiful and brilliant game. Agree that the start is slow, at least in terms of challenge/depth, but loved every minute. Some very difficult challenges in the endgame too.

  2. Patreon rewards are updated at the beginning of the month! :) this is for two reasons, one so we can do them all at once and stay on track, and two because that's when Patreon actually charges your card. Cheers!

The base chance of getting a shiny is the same as Sun/Moon. 1 in 4096.

Why don't you lot have a look at the ways to influence this?

Ah right, fair enough. This part isn't true though is it? -

As you can see the Pokémon in the overworld, you can see more Pokémon on the field, you have more chances of spotting a Shiny Pokémon without starting the encounter.

I don't think you can see the shiny before you start.

I was just going about my own business catching random Pokemon when this shiny popped up.

I didn't even have a chain going! :yay:

I was going to say shinies definitely seem more common in this game, my SO got a shiny Caterpie as her 3rd catch in the game. That said, if anyone's going to be an authority on their frequency at this point it would be you with your hundreds of Chanseys :p

  5. Here's some simple-ish games I like that haven't been listed. I cba to write about them :p but you can google and see if they're for you

    Power Station

    Settlers of Catan

    Munchkin

    Takenoko

And I'm not sure what defines a board game but there's The Resistance/Coup which are basically Mafia in a box but need more than a couple of people.

  6. This game is too, too easy. I've not played much compared to you guys but I don't think it could've been possible to lose a single fight if I had tried. Every opponent in the first 3 areas has had a single subpar pokemon, which would be ok normally but it's so easy to have 6 high level pokemon in no time now. If anything the difficulty needed scaling up to match the new advantages, but has been scaled down.

It's a good fun game, nostalgic and a great way to bring Red and Blue to life, but why they've made it a baby's game in terms of difficulty is beyond me. Do they think kids can't play hard games?

Hope it ramps up a bit.

  7. Since I found a Bulbasaur in my first trip through the forest I don't really want to start again, so maybe I'll just pretend they're both the same person who changes their hair off-camera and has a personality disorder and doesn't really remember being the other guy.

They're getting out of hand. We're not here to constantly change your name on a whim, and furthermore it can be confusing to others.

Therefore we have decided you can only change your name once, and then back again. Some people have already reached their limit (Caris, Stefkov). Any questions just ask.

...then announced that those Y1 expansions are free with Forsaken on 12th Nov

That's pretty shitty. I mean it's good in the end but people who bought the expansions just to play Forsaken ought to be due a refund.

  10. I was very confused by Cores yesterday. The more expensive saddle you buy for example the higher your core drain %. Surely that's just a mistake, and they don't realise that increasing a "rate" of "drain" sounds like you mean it will drain faster, when I'm sure the opposite is actually true.

The game is great but a lot of core mechanics are left without details.
