The characters, and a fair bit of the surroundings were supperior to MGS2. However, some places feel like mip-mapped versions of the PSOne game. Great game though. Wonder if this was some kind of limited edition thing. People started complaining they cant find a copy anyehere like 6 months after the games release...

I'm hoping for a good FPS ro GT like racer...
-
Apparently Virtuacop was announced way back at last years E3. Aint heard nothing of it since, though!
-
What I heard was that you WOULD be able to get back your VC games and points somehow...

I want plenty all range levels, and I want the combat to be a bit more like in flightsims: A higher difference between the ground and the highest reachable altitude, the ability to fly upside down, dive and fly uppwards at any angle you want, and HUGE areas to fly over. Allso a online mode would rock.

So what do you all think of the God Father?
darkjak replied to The Lillster's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I bought it this week. Quite a cool game, allthough the graphics are a bit half-assed... The game is much better than True Crime, though, so if ya want a GTA-ish game for the Wii, this is it! -
What did you do to it? I've never heard of a Wii not working before (appart from a few controllers that didn't survive getting tossed into a wall).

That's painted plastic. I saw a can of chromepaint in a biltema store here in sweden. The can said: will come of if touched. We allso got this free coffeemixer with a post order company. The paint started flaking after just 2-3 uses. It looks awful after no time at all! If you put that on a wii, you'll have to repaint the disc ejector like once a week.

The top three games on the gamecube
darkjak replied to ManiLink's topic in General Gaming Discussion
3) Super Smash Bros Melee The guys in my platoon (yes, I'm in the swedish army ATM) thought I was strange who had a Gamecube, but when I pulled out the SSBM disc, they were all hooked. Now, every afternoon we just keep whupping each others asses out of the ring again and again and again. For one player this game was fun for a fairly long while, with the adventuremode and challenges to beat, and trophies to collect, but with four players this game can be played forever... or untill Brawl comes out and you get better graphics, more characters and every aspect gets improved. This is however more of a killer app than an excellent game. To be honest, before I tooke the cube to the army I hadn't touched this game for over two years... 2) Resident Evil 4 We were patiently waiting for the Capcom 4. Resident evil 4, Viewtiful Joe, Dead Phoenix and Product No 4. Resident Evil kept being reworked from scratch, Dead Phoenix got canned, PNO4 turned out to be pants and I really didn't give a ratts testicle for Viewtiful Joe. However, after a long time it finally arrived. RE4. With a more action-ish approach, improved controlls and smarter enemies. The voice acting was no longer useless, and all the graphics in the entire game were in real time. The game really hooked you, and had a pretty deep (allthough fairly ridiculous) story. The graphics were gorgeous, the game was huge, and there were lots of unlockables. This game could have been No1 on this list, but two things foiled it: It was too short, and wasn't the killer app it was supposed to be. Why it isn't the killer app it was planned to be? Well, here's the explenation: it was supposed to be GC exclusive. It WASN'T. It got ported for every format available (even the PC), PLUS the GC version was the poorest one. The PS2 version had extra weapons and LOADS of extra missions. 1) Zelda: Twilight Princess This is IT. The reason (appart from Perfect Dark 2:cry: ) why I bought a Cube. I got a bit dissapointed with Majoras Mask for the N64, so after Spaceworld 2000 I was so hyped about the forthcoming Zelda... And then came those pics of Wind Waker... which I at first thought were a joke. After eight friggin' years it's finally here. A bigger, more beautiful and in every single way better zeldagame. For the first time in like three years (MGS:Twin Snakes) I played the game for over three hours a day. Apart from the fishingparts that I hate, I was hooked on every aspect of the game. Lets just hope it doesent take another eight years untill this game gets a propper sequel. By then the wife I might have (I'm 20 years old) won't be to keen on having me playing videogames for several hour s a day:grin:. -
Nothing I'll buy...
-
I remember I read in like 1999 that Sonic Team were working on a DC sequel to nights, but that it had been put on hold so that Sonic Adventure would be released for the DC launch.
-
I'll probably buy it. And of course I'll sell my old copy and a few other old games (smugglers run, PSO and Nightfire)...
-
Well, I'm thinking a bit of buying it. Seems to be a good game, and honestly its nice with a surprise like this.
-
Dammit! If someone would have said this earlier I woulda started playing. My free starter month is still unused, that + this last month for free thing coulda been quite a treat...

Red 9 with a NEW stock connected. The one in the old GC version was a wooden rifle stock. This seems to be a metal assaultrifle stock:
-
Why has the tasty laseraim been replaced with a booring crosshair? I think that the weapons that in reality would have laseraim (The pistols, the grenadelauncher and the TMP) should have that, while the ones that in reality wouldn't (shotguns, Red9, the sniperrifles, chicago typewriter and the revolver) should have ironsights. I hope that this version will contain SOME graphical improvements... like being run in full screen. Another thing I'd wish would be some more weapons and bonus scenarios. One thing that really bugged me out was that there was no real assaultrifle. OK, we got the TMP, but it was way to weak, and we had the Chicago typewriter, but it was a secret unlockable with infinite ammo (which completelly removed the challenge from the game, if I might add). My hope is an M16 or AK47-ish thing. Allso I'd like to see the Desert eagle Leon had in the early version of the game:
-
I hope there'll be a GTA for the Wii. Some of you may remember my old homepage "GTA4GC"... I really wanted a GTA for the cube. I think and hope it'll be like Vice City, only with the SA game engine, more cars, a new story and maybe another island...
-
A harddrive would be good, I even think it would be necesary to store games from some consoles...
-
I love MK DS, think that F-Zero is decent, but I still enjoy playing realistic games more. Yeah, I AM a petrolhead, but I don't like F1, Lemans or any of those racers. I like realistic games (when it comes to the look and handling of the cars), better-than-real tracks (no real racetracks surrounded by concrete walls, give me a real city, a forrest or a road next to the beach). I want a game where I can buy the same car I have in real life (it's probbably going to be a Fiat Coupé), then tune the crap out of it, then enjoy taking it in high speeds through lush surroundings...
-
What the f**k are you talking about? I've got NFS:Carbon, and I must say that the controlls feel a lot more precise than with a stick. In Carbon I hit things much less than I did in NFS:MW for the Cube. GT pro series is the only Wii-exclusive GT-ish game out there ATM, but I think there'll be a sequell, with more cars, better tracks and realistic graphics. Imagine how good a racer could look on Wii. For example, look how good Project Gotham Racing 2 looked on the original Xbox...

Well, it's not true that only nerdy girls play videogames. On my platoon there are three girls, of whom two don't have anything agains playing SSB, and at school we had a party, where quite a few girls played games. The girls however only play like one or two games since its too time consuming to get good at them. On the wii it's another matter:P

I think it would be kewl if Nintendo would make the Wii compatible with some more consoles using emulators, meaning, for example if you want to play an emulated Dreamcast game, you have to insert your a the Dreamcast game containing the disc, and then enter the DC emulator channel. This would prevent piracy, and allso putting the games on the Wiis flash memory isn't allways possible, since CD-rom games are too big! Another fun thing would be if you'd be able to download canned games... Like Starfox2 and some games we haven't even heard of...
-
Hmmm... Silent Heroes for the PC: Seriously speaking, I'd like Excitebike 64. I wanted to buy it for the N64, but then the GC came out and I just kept buying all the good games for that, and finally when I got arround to order it, all the swedish stores had gotten rid of all their N64-games

Blazing Angels- Rumoured to have online multiplayer
darkjak replied to flameboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
What ARE you talking about? That's MINDBLOWING. Look at all those buildings! Easilly the best looking Wii game so far. A must-buy, whether it has online play or not (YES, I am a flynut). -

I didn't even know Blazing Angels was coming to Wii. Heatseeker or BA... SO HARD TO CHOOSE!
