The PSVR is really, really fun. A great companion to traditional gaming. Some of the titles are so immersive, it's almost frightening.

I did. :P I think Dazzy is as well.

Couldn't see another thread for this and thought now PSVR was actually out we needn't lump everything in the VR thread. Anyways. My copy of this and the VR headset arrived this morning. Ocean Descent Tried out the shark game, was pretty impressed. The shark attacking made me flinch and squeal! It was a really good introduction to VR but not something you'd go back to very often. The London Heist This was something I didn't expect to like that much. Not really into gangster/mafia stuff. However, I bloody loved it. It really showcases the kind of gaming and storytelling VR can do, and this is just the beginning! The main "side-kick" is very London, very butch, just what you'd expect. If there were a normal game I would be bored by the cliché of it all but you're living it! Even though the dialogue was tired I didn't mind and I actually cared for this other character. It's hard to explain really! Luge This one's alright. You're basically going down a busy mountain road at 90mph whilst on your back. Nothing too special. EDIT: I just remembered that I did actually think it was pretty cool. But I played London Heist afterwards, and it was so good I had to race on here to say how much I enjoyed it! Scavenger's Odyssey A sci-fi shooter! Sci-fi is where I really think the game will take off but perhaps not like this. I would probably enjoy it if it didn't make me feel sick. This is the first game that's done it (not tried a whole lot yet) and hope it's not a common occurrence! Danger Ball This is basically VR pong - sounds dull but it's quite addictive. You use your head to flip/hit the ball back at the opponent. Feels like a futuristic sport!

Well, why don't you tell us what you've heard and we can suggest whether it's bollocks or not.

You just know at this point some of these fake reveals/rumours are going to be better than the real thing.

Six new episode of Black Mirror come to Netflix on October 21st. I saw three of them at the London Film Festival. They're just as good as the old episodes, though one or two are quite different in tone but still inherently Black Mirror. I saw: Nosedrive San Junipero Shut Up and Dance Loved them all. If you like Black Mirror you're certainly in for a treat. And I heard from Charlie Brooker himself that one of the episodes is feature length.

Surely it's a good thing they are? Otherwise gaming would never have progressed from the games of the 70s/80s.

The future is almost here! Haven't actually bought any games for PSVR yet. Gonna wait until Amazon have dispatched the headset. It'd be a bloody nightmare buying loads of games for it and then my pre-order being cancelled or something!

Luckily I already bought s PS Camera last year. They've said most games will have several control options so unless it specifically says it needs move controllers you should be fine with the DS4. I'm gonna get move controllers anyway as Dreams looks a lot easier to play using them.

The first episode is shit. Gets much better after that.

The first season of Rick and Morty is now on UK Netflix!

I literally don't understand what any of that means. lol Tried a HoloLens for the first time today. Was alright - very primitive, in the nicest possible way. My uni has just built a "Holo Room" and it's exclusively for my unis students atm, though they will open it up for the public in a few months. To be fair though, the applications for the room seem, gimmicky at best, atm. But hey, baby steps and all that.

I'm buying one for my mother but don't need one myself.

Oh.. right. Well hopefully when it detaches it's nice to hold. Don't care for handheld gaming myself so wouldn't take it out and about anyway.

The idea of waggling around a wiimote on a train is not my idea of fun. Maybe I'm missing something but at the moment I really don't get it. Hopefully when they eventually reveal it they'll explain it.
-
I have been meaning to ask: why do the controllers even need to detach in the first place? To make it multiplayer on the go?
-
I think this says more about your state of mental health than it does about the PS4 OS. :P

Not a very, er, mature sentiment.

I imagine the VR version may include the regular version too but not the other way around? Like blu-ray players can play both blu-ray and DVD but DVD players can't.

Once more unto the void...

My internet is very slow, so haven't downloaded the DLC yet. Hoping it's better than your experience though, or viewing experience anyway

Patch notes for the new Death Star DLC.

Anyone know, or can guess whether we'll still get the censored version? Or will we get lucky and get the US version?

Some people are finding the space fighting quite difficult. Personally I just treated it like a fight in Battlestar Galactica, brake quickly and spin round and you can follow the ships.

That does indeed look great! Not long now!
