  1. arg. i forgot a band! Muse geez. what kinda sick person am i to forget them.
  2. i have seen hot hot heat live. they are REALLY good. my favs (at the moment) Franz Ferdinand Hot Hot Heat Faker (a Sydney Band) The Dissociatives Mandy Kane and Decoder Ring aint bad either
  3. Majoras Mask. Secret of Mana (awesome!) and thats all i can think of at the moment... (although i could EASILY go through a list of SNES rpg's) Come to think of it, Earthbound had a very nice ending. hey, ive just finished Terranigma (on cartridge might i add)... how bizzare is the ending?! I didnt know what to think! it was such an epic game, then it was suddenly over! Though i did give the Dark Gaia a thrashing of a lifetime!
  4. have to say, its a pretty bad article. several of the points are "Nintendo has this game", other other ones are repeated. eg. xbox360 is costly and NinRev is cheap were considered two different points. i will get the revolution, simply because i like nintendo games. done.
  5. Yeah. they get people to donate money to the cause. here is another interesting site... it's one thing to laugh at that... but how many of these forum users are going to find this amusing? *grins* one thing that i do find amusing about this one, is the fact that a bunch of 'nintendo fanboys' (quoting) sent hatemail regarding the price.
  6. -XIII aint a bad game. singleplayer mode is really good, multi sucks the big one. -sonic heroes, i thought it was a good game. but it has got some VERY mixed reviews. -timesplitters games are good
  7. uh. the way that i read the article was that nintendo had something else that was intuitive to reveal. not just a: "hey guess what, #Game X# is coming out and it uses the controller like this..." no offence guys, but you are looking in the wrong direction. a revelation is a tad more important than a new game coming out. for those that were excited by the 'revolutionary controller' (pardon the pun), im sure that there is a lot more in store to be revealed at a later date, that not even we can comprehend. i mean cmon!!! if the controller was the first wave of goodness to be released, surely whats left is gonna be awesome! think outside the box people.
  8. or the nintendo jennifer aniston. now that could make for some interesting double entrendre's. i wont go as far as naming any, im sure you can all work it out for yourselves! *grins* just a matter of interest. the cube was always refered to as 'codename dolphin'.... are they saying the 'revolution' is a codename as well?
  9. @Innovance One key term which stood out in your post was "Average Consumer". this made me chuckle. not because it was funny, more than likely its because im insane. the average consumer is the audience that nintendo generally aim for. this (i could well be wrong on this) is one of the reasons that the revolution was going to be cheaper than the other systems. Those images are quite interesting. it makes me wonder what kind of definition all of the Xbox360 trailers were being played at. i saw a Kameo trailer, thought it looked nice... but now im really starting to wonder. perfect dark zero shouldnt be much different... but there were a few games which seemed to have nice 'crisp' graphics. hmm. maybe trailers in the future should have attached to them "Shown in SDTV" or whatever. because this could be quite misleading!!!!
  10. nothing like some chicken blood for the soul.... heh heh. ive been going around spreading the word of John Saframs good deeds. did you happen to see him in the exorcism though? creepy!!! but yeah, GO AUSSIES! to be honest, i cant see australia getting very far at all. they wont be flogged, but they wont come out on top, it will be an achievement to get in the top 16. does that make me un-australian because im dissing our local 'heroes'? man im in a bad mood today.......
  11. 110% ? But how can that be humanly possible? :p hey, thanks heaps for the info BigTac.
  12. im a student who lives the stereotyped 2minute noodle for dinner life. i cant afford an hd tv, plain and simple. but from this thread i began to wonder if everyone is missing the point here that "gaming is supposed to be fun" or something like that...i am more inclined to replay super mario bros 3 than to play that useless piece of poo known as mario sunshine. here is a tip for all ye highschool kids.... GRAPHICS ARENT EVERYTHING Dont get me wrong, im sure that all of the next gen consoles will be a success, im no blind 'nintendo fanboy' who will shoot down anything with a big green glowing X, but the fact that everyone these days seems obsessed about 'how pretty a game looks' is completely juvenile. oh and Nfanboy. speaking of being ripped off, go an play with your xbox remote which you were forced to buy to use the dvd function... no seriously, do it. That way you will think about what it means for a company to really rip off a consumer who is blinded by a glowing green light before making such a ridiculous post. ok... i think im finished with my short rant... anyone else?
  13. yeah. there isnt gonna be any more of: "My child played the newest resi game, and is now trying to decapitate people... damn you nintendo!" the reply to this will be "well, you shoulda turned on the gamestopper thingy", i mean, ive always thought that if someone is going to be 'affected' by a game in that way, they must have a serious problem to start with, and im sure that the videogame influence had nothing to do with it,,, just an excuse really... but lets not get into that conversation! the controls wont affect me at all seeing as i'll be 21 at revolution launch, but i do believe that its a good thing. it wont stop many youngsters doing stuff, but its good 'insurance' for nintendo
  14. wow. the opposing systems get a lovely headstart. and we all thought that the gamecube was behind the 8-balll to begin with.... oh well, at least my honors year at uni wont get distracted.
  15. These include a couple of my brothers too... (and my short opinions of each) Windwaker - limited ed (great game) Starfox adventures (good, but short) FF:CC (very good with multi) Mario Power Tennis (friggen incredible) Sonic Heroes (good sonic) Sonic Adventure DX (good sonic) Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (great game. chaos got my hooked) Sonic Mega Collection (retro fun!) Timesplitters 2 (one of the few good fps on the cube) Aggressive Inline (not bad. never really liked the style, ,but this was fun) Pikmin (short, but fun) Donkey Konga (god i hate blink 182......) Metroid Prime (joy) Metroid Prime 2 (joy x 2 ... (a lot harder than MP though eh?) Mario Kart DD (didnt like the fact that with multi, there is no char select) Eternal Darkness (a must have for any collection) Mystic Heroes (shite) Starfox Assault (good flying missions... rest aint that good) Super Mario Sunshine (not nearly as good as mario64) Baten Kaitos (intuitive battle system. but very linear)
  16. smash bros tales of symphonia any sonic games eternal darkness <<<<<so so good....
  17. Actually this is one of the main reasons that im looking forward to the revolution. The moment i saw all the 'remote stuff' happening, Starfox entered my mind. Then i found myself showing people with a TV remote how i would fly an arwing. Then came me making arwing noises, and the funny looks... But yeah. There is definitely potential for that. Does Falco remind anyone else of the Fonz? (Happy Days) I got that impressiong hugely from Smash Bros (with the jacket) and a bit from Starfox Adventures...
  18. Is it possible to get a confirmed release date for "Super Mario Strikers" for Australia? This is a title that im looking for, and yet NintendoAustralia being the useless sods that they are are not giving us any information. Not because they are being tight lipped, but simply because they are crap. At the moment, NintendoAus has a TBA release date, and EBgames has no record of the game coming out (as of yet). Thanks guys
  19. Hmm. Well ive had this game preordered for quite a while now. And was really excited about the November 05 release. (yeah well, i guess the joke is on me). and am still excited for its release. The game will be awesome, and funnily enough, i think it will sell some gamecubes along with it. i do like the idea of a 'darker' feeling zelda game. that was the best part of the N64 zelda games. In OoT with the future being screwed up, and MM with the whole 'moon is gonna kill us' thing. This was lost i think in WW, but i really did like the tie in. Favorite Zelda game? Majoras Mask. Simply because of the way that Link becomes part of the lives of all the characters. Cmon, dont tell me that you werent on the edge of your seat when trying to save the ranch from the aliens! Or when you helped Kafei with the whole Wedding thing.... But anyway, my point is (finally), if Nintendo manage to pull off this, it will be a truly amazing game.
  20. I was quick to vote for Wolf, but Falco does come in at a close second. Hey Shino, thanks heaps for the Penny Arcade view on it! *laughs* good comic that! And your username gets a thumbs up too! I have to say that although Slippy's gender is in huge dispute, he (yes, he) did get a lot better in starfox assault! The whole comic relief thing was great!
  21. I can think of better things to do in pubs... The whole WiFi thing should be good. But i really cant see the WiFi stations thing happening in all the local places. If it does, i think i would be disappointed to be honest. Dont get me wrong, i love my video games, but i also am a big fan of physical activity. So i would see this thing breeding a generation of kids who go out of the home to play games... and yeah. the problem escalates. Man. i sound like a parent or something... but give me playing frisbee with my friends at the beach anyday.
  22. I have to say that i am happy with "Revolution"! Just thought id grab the definition of revolution... for those whom may have forgotten... revolution noun 1: a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving; "the industrial revolution was also a cultural revolution" 2: the overthrow of a government by those who are governed 3: a single complete turn (axial or orbital); "the plane made three rotations before it crashed"; "the revolution of the earth about the sun takes one year" in comments to: 1: yep. this sums up nintendo and its ideas in one go. 2: well, i have to say that if they can overthrow Microsoft, thatd be interesting. 3: This is a complete description of Ninty's idea to bring back the retro games and besides. its sounds good! Viva le Revolution!
