mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I think sonic died a long time ago... with the Mega Drive sonic adventure on dreamcast was good for it's time. Sonic needs to change u see.i mario comletely changed when into 3d.it was made more puzzle based and objective based and it worked great. Can u imagine constantly hitting blocks in 3d......ugh
DCK Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I wonder, why are the same people screaming "scores don't matter [random swear]" at Solitanze a few weeks ago complaining about sites that dare give Zelda give a score that doesn't suggest perfection?
mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 because people do actually care about reviews despite what they say.
Nintendork Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Sonic lives in 2D/2.5D, it's destiny. The Secret of the Rings will rock because it runs for you.. it's super fast and you can do 2 things, turn left/right or turn around. It's a 3D game but on a 2D plain (thus I coined the tern 2.5D), it should keep modern gamers amused and please the gamers who whinge that 2D sonic is better. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm looking forward to it. i really can't see how sonic and the secret rings could be good yet.I mean it practiscally plays itself.I like the graphics and the sense of speed but i haven't liked a sonic game since sonic and knuckes and yes that inclused rush
Nintendork Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Well in 2D you spent three quarters of a level holding right.
mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 you still have control no? off-topic:holy fuck did anyone else see that gba sonic review?this is the worst port i have ever seen
Nintendork Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 You can turn around and stop in this one if you miss something. You can jump and spin too.
mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 what are you talking about the sonic gba game or secret rings?
DCK Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Well in 2D you spent three quarters of a level holding right. Good point. There's so little gameplay in Sonic games that I'm surprised how it ever managed to compete with Mario.
mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 it was able to compete with mario because it offered something different.and lets face it it was much much easier.Well the first sonic waasn't but after that the challenege went down.People get frustrated with mario sometimes. that and the graphics in sonic games were far better than mario games at that point and sonic had better bosses, arguably better music and better variation in levels(mario hadf never seen a casino level or anything to do with robots) in the case of super mario world vs sonic 2....mario world wins though.
Nintendork Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Latest 1up show: Necro Nesia is shit, Wing Island is shit, My First Wii is shit, Wii Play is pretty average. WarioWare rules but the pace is screwed up whenever a new mini game is introduced. (30 seconds plus intervals)
mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 i thought wind island was meant to be somewhat fun sccording to ngamer....as for necro nesia i knew it. i'm not getting wario ware.same old shit and no similtaneous multiplayer just pisses me off
Nintendork Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Looks utter crap to me, you can't even crash the planes.. the planes.. they just get stuck, jitter about for 5 seconds then it says game over. Graphics are sub par (the clouds is Mario look more realistic)
Cube Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 WarioWare rules but the pace is screwed up whenever a new mini game is introduced. (30 seconds plus intervals) Isn't it just until all the different control methods are introduced?
solitanze Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Hudsons current Wii games are downright terrible. I'll be holding off until their killer app releases next year, Mario Party 8.

Zechs Merquise Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 i really can't see how sonic and the secret rings could be good yet.I mean it practiscally plays itself.I like the graphics and the sense of speed but i haven't liked a sonic game since sonic and knuckes and yes that inclused rush Is it in 3D? Is it sonic? YES, it will be bad lol
mcj metroid Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 ha maybe your right but i dont see why people are been excited about about a 3d game going to 2d roots .like whoopy!

Goron_3 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Wow that's a pretty good review for Elebits . I'm really excited to play this
Zechs Merquise Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Wow that's a pretty good review for Elebits . I'm really excited to play this It's a good review, but the whole concept just does nothing for me at all. The one I'm looking forward to is the Battalion Wars sequel, I loved that game soooo much and I just wanted to play other people, so the thought of a better looking, more complete follow up with online play is something I'm trembling in anticipation for.
