Nintendork Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 if there was a mgs wii, it would no doubt be a series of mini gamesI think it's going to be a comic book. Where you download and print out of the Wii in monthly installments. Did you know there is a laser printer under the Wii flap? That's the last secret
solitanze Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 if there was a mgs wii, it would no doubt be a series of mini games Expect the originals [Metal Gear & Snakes Revenge - NES] on the VC perhaps with novelty Wii mote controls at the very most.
Shino Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I don't really care about MGS, but I'm still expecting for him to show something he promised on the Wii. I really don't trust him.
solitanze Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I dont like the idea that Nintendo are getting fuck all from this Kojima Smash Bros dealeo. Thats the beauty of Snake being included in Smash Bros you [the thread starter] should be absolutely thrilled with this, you can kick his ass to high heaven over and over again, making him statistically the worst ranked character in your version of Smash Bros Brawl. "TAKE THAT SNAKE WHERES YOUR F****N GAYSTATION3 NOW HUH!?" Relieve your frustration that way.
ShadowV7 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 however I dont like the idea that Nintendo are getting fuck all from this Kojima Smash Bros dealeo. It's called, making the game more popular...

Smash Bros has such a devoted following, was this 'stunt' really needed?
Nintendork Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I think the first MGS from the NES is confirmed for Virtual Console.. no idea about the second.. presumably will follow if it is downloaded enough. I know I will. Also thread lockzor.. it's just going around in circles.
Nintenchris Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 So wheres Metal Gear for the DS! Some of the crap that has been writen in this thead defies logic.
darthbane2k Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 Why should Nintendo get a good deal?Sony have the larger demographic. MGS has ALWAYS sold well on Sony machines. Twin Snakes sold awfully. There's NO REASON for MGS to come to a machine that will make it less money. Stp being a Nintendo fanboy and grow up, Nintendo aren't the only ones in the business. Im glad you have identified the BUSINESS side of things. Proving my point really - from a BUSINESS point of view, Nintendo allows Kojima to add Snake in Smash Bros and to develop a 'special stage' for his character. So what exactly do Nintendo gain from this?
ShadowV7 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Smash Bros has such a devoted following, was this 'stunt' really needed? Yes,more people will buy the game which = Profit Also it's not a stunt,it's also increasing the number of characters. So once a new 3rd Party Character is anounced, lets say for example Sonic. That will make the game even more popular so Sonic fans will buy the game.I hope you won't make a thread saying 'Nintendo should tell SEGA TO GO TO HELL!!!' I still don't understand whats wrong with adding more characters. They gain a profit.
Nintendork Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 So wheres Metal Gear for the DS!Some of the crap that has been writen in this thead defies logic. Is that meant to be ironic?
darthbane2k Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 So wheres Metal Gear for the DS!Some of the crap that has been writen in this thead defys logic. Metal Gear Soild 1 & 2 could very easily be remade on DS or a new game developed from their engine/s. Secondly Metal Gear Ac!d could very easily be developed for DS, and would suit stylus control. DS is the best selling handheld in the world, yet PSP gets all the Kojima love? This is my point, he and his studios continually snub all nintendo formats, so why is he being 'allowed' his fantasy of Snake appearing in smash bros. Its like that Janet Jackson song "what have you done for me lately" Yes,more people will buy the game which = ProfitAlso it's not a stunt,it's also increasing the number of characters. Well, Sonic (from what I know) WILL be on smash bros on Wii. further more, Sega actually develop for Nintendo and actually put sonic games on Nintendo consoles. Of course there is nothing wrong with extra characters, but surely Nintendo should get something in return? If anything, Smash Bros should be a massive beat em up featuring video game icons that actively appear on Nintendo formats.
Roostophe Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Nintendo allows Kojima to add Snake in Smash Bros and to develop a 'special stage' for his character. So what exactly do Nintendo gain from this? More copies of SSBB flying off the shelves when it comes out, that's what. Money money money. Mind you, someone has said that already, but it probably needed pointing out again.

Its like that Janet Jackson song "what have you done for me lately" Also i'm pretty sure i've read a few times Kojima won't be making another MGS from Kojima,so let's see what his projects are then moan about it if it's not on a Nintendo platform. Also Kojima begged for Snake to be in Brawl and Melee. I get what you mean that he's giving Nintendo bugger all ,but he has more projects to do after MGS4.

But there should be more (Pro Evo, maybe).

Money money money.Mind you, someone has said that already, but it probably needed pointing out again. Okay. But imagine the "money money money" if Nintendo had said to Kojima, "Okay, you can have Snake in Smash Bros, but only if he appears in a new Wii game" So who out of Kojima and Nintendo (regarding this deal) has the upper hand? That is the question...
Ten10 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Kojima did say that he wanted to bring a new project to wii and Xb360. So how do you know that these won't turn out better. The metal gear solid plot is coming to the end, there aren't much cards left to play on the table with that one. So just wait and see what comes out for the wii before doing all your m gear complaining.
darthbane2k Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 Konami also develop games for Nintendo. Not many, (not Pro Evo, ffs) but some. Im talking more specifically about Kojima Studios and not Konami as a whole.
Nintendork Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 If we have this debate about Sega and Nintendo when it is announced Sonic will be in Dojo! remind me to kill myself.

Wasnt Kojima supposed to be one of the first developers approached about Wii. Didnt he say (when the controller was first revealed) that he was on board? Also, Metal Gear Solid wont end at MGS4 - you believe that you eblieve anything. Its too much of a cashcow.
Roostophe Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Im talking more specifically about Kojima Studios and not Konami as a whole. Were you? If we have this debate about Sega and Nintendo when it is announced Sonic will be in Dojo! remind me to kill myself. Will do.

darthbane2k Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 If we have this debate about Sega and Nintendo when it is announced Sonic will be in Dojo! remind me to kill myself. Why would there be debate? Sega develop for Nintendo. Sonic games appear on Nintendo formats. Sega do not constantly snub Nintendo for Playstation formats.
