Kaxxx Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 What games are on the release line-up? Ive seen the JPN and US ones but havent heard anything for Europe. Anyone fill me in?
Stocka Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 NOE: Accompanying the console launch will be around 20 software titles including Wii Play and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and from third party publishers launch games include: Ubisoft’s RED STEEL, EA’s Need for Speed: Carbon, Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, THQ’s Disney/ Pixar’s Cars and Sega’s Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. Why they couldn't just give us a list I don't know
Staab Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 There is a list, actually, although not very precise : First-party launch titles available from launch through Spring 2007 Title Wii Sports (bundled with hardware) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Excite Truck WarioWare: Smooth Moves Battalion Wars II Big Brain Academy (temporary name) Mario Strikers Charged Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Super Mario Galaxy (temporary name) Third-party Wii Titles available from launch through Spring 2007 Title Call of Duty 3 Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam Trauma Center: Second Opinion Bust a Move Wii Cooking Mama Wii Elevator Action Wii Disney’s Chicken Little: Ace in Action Harry Potter Madden NFL 07 Need for Speed: Carbon SSX Tiger Woods PGA Tour Wing Island Konami’s First Wii Title The Ant Bully Happy Feet Sonic and the Secret Rings Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz Gottlieb Pinball Classics Impossible Mission Leaderboard Golf Puzzle Balls Super Fruit Fall Tennis Masters Avatar: The Legend of Aang Disney/Pixar’s Cars SpongeBob SquarePants and Friends: Creature from the Krusty Krab Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII Far Cry: Vengeance GT Pro Series Monster 4x4: World Circuit Open Season Rayman: Raving Rabbids Red Steel
Owen Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 OK, it seems NOE was the only company who didn't give us a full-list of launch titles, no surprises there! However it seems we won't be getting 'Excitetruck'. Not to sure about 'Elebits' either! Which is a damn shame as there both superb games. BUT there are 20 launch titles, so we just have to wait and see.....
Kaxxx Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 Cheers guys! One other thing. Has there been official specs released yet? Seems strange they are keeping these under wraps for so long.
flameboy Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Cheers guys! One other thing. Has there been official specs released yet? Seems strange they are keeping these under wraps for so long. i don't think Nintendo are especially fussed about releasing the specs, they want the games/controller to sell the product not how many polygons it can display etc... it really wouldn't surprise me if they were never properly released.
Charlie Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I've just highlighted the ones that I remember being confirmed for launch. Can anyone else name a few more or take some out of my list?
flameboy Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I think call of duty may have slipped it doesn't have an 8/12/06 release date where I work has another date, can't remember what. also whilst I'm here excitetruck isn't listed meaning there its either need for speed or gt pro for racing fans.

Yeah, i read somewhere (although it could be wrong) that Call Of Duty 3 is now released in 2007 for the Wii!

Teppo Holmqvist Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 There is a list, actually, although not very precise : It's not precise at all, because that is US list (there isn't Euro list yet). But yeah, you're right that we can except most of these games before end of march.
Charlie Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Excite Truck is 3rd from top for all you people saying it isn't listed...
flameboy Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Excite Truck is 3rd from top for all you people saying it isn't listed... sorry my post was abit misleading, i meant excite truck was't listed at work!
James McGeachie Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 One other thing. Has there been official specs released yet? Seems strange they are keeping these under wraps for so long. Nintendo said a long time ago they were never going to officially release them to the public themselves. The developers know them since they've had the technical details for an eternity (they're given them before they have the hardware so they know what to aim for with games) now but Nintendo don't want the public to focus on them so they're not releasing them themselves to make a big deal out of it. Hence the specs that we get from developers (aka the ones with the 733Mhz or whatever processor and what not that tons of developers have confirmed) are the only ones we'll ever get. The specs we've been given by developers/IGN are basically confirmed by this point anyway, I've seen tons of people working on games say those are the specs, people just seem to be in denial about it but it's about time everyone just accepts it and moves on.
Guest Jordan Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Apparently (thank the gods) Wario Ware will be released in Europe on Dec 15th. Great news!
twilightlink Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Wasnt Exitetruck named as a definate launch title for Europe, Japan and the US? Besides, all of those titles will be out within the launch window anyway...3 months is fine! I'll just be playing Twilight Princess and Red Steel through that time...

I'll just be playing Twilight Princess and Red Steel through that time... yeah same here, they are the two launch titles I am definitely getting. then maybe need for speed or monkey ball.

No for that WW:SM was the other Nintendo Japan is getting instead of ExciteTruck, then I think by the 15th though EXciteTruck comes out over there.
gj15987 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I'm hoping Call of Duty isn't delayed. I was looking forward to that on release. I've never bought that sort of game before.
