Tokyo Game Show 2006

Recommended Posts

tgs2006.gif

As Nintendo aren't attending it, I thought it'd be best to have it in here, despite the fact that Wii games will still be shown from certain developers.

The Tokyo Game Show 2006 will be held on September 22–24 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. This year will also be a celebration of the 10th anniversary for the Tokyo Game Show.

What do you look forward to seeing/hope to see?

The obvious one everyone including me wants to see(and expects) every TGS is Shenmue III, so that's my choice, although I am also excited about seeing more of Blue Dragon and Trusty Bell.

Well they are holding a conference in Japan on Thursday, which is probably why.

I doubt there will be new stuff on Halo 3 at a Japan event, but i'd like to be proved wrong.

Oh...Lost Planet...:) Hopefully if they have a new demo, they'll do what they did with the E3 one: put it up on Xbox Live:D.

Apparently there's a multiplayer demo of Lost Planet in the pipeline, hopefully they'll give it to us at TGS.

I hate this, framerate should be the most important thing technically next gen, but HD is their top priority. Bah.

Activision has confirmed that it will bring hit music title Guitar Hero to multiple formats in 2007.

Speaking at Goldman Sachs Communacopia XV Conference, CEO and chairman of Activision Robert Kotick revealed the news as part of his keynote speech.

Kotick confirmed that Guitar Hero would appear "on every significant new format", while discussing intentions for yearly updates and building franchises across a number of key Activision titles.

The revelation comes in the same week that employees of retail chain Gamestation were reportedly informed that the game would appear on Xbox 360 in the first part of 2007. Activision's Guitar Hero-publishing subsidiary RedOctane has declined to comment on the matter.

Guitar Hero II for the PlayStation 2 is due for release in November.

Ninja Gaiden Black PS3 vr

According to the magazine, Sigma will be considered the "complete" edition of Ninja Gaiden Black. It will feature significantly improved graphics as well as an upgraded battle engine. All cinema scenes will be real-time, not CGI.

Ryu will have new weapons to weild, and he'll have the ability to weild two katanas at once. There will also be new stages, as well as a new playable character - Racheal. Playing as Racheal will offer a different perspective on the storyline, which should be interesting.
