Balfron Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Andrew Murray is in with an outside chance of winning this tournament. Seeded 19th, he will play a US qualifier in the 1st round. Murray loves the US Open. He loves the modern, exciting atmosphere and the hard courts where he learnt to play his game. Henman and Rusedski also play each other in the first match, with the winner going on to probably play Federer. This isn't to mention Agassi playing his 21st and last US Open. The only problem is I don't have Sky Sports and so can't watch it! Anyone got any suggestions? I could listen on the radio or I might be able to get it on in the local pub, but is there any way I can watch it over the internet? I don't think there is... Anyone else going to be watching? I predict Nadal will win, as Federer's form has been dipping slightly below it's normal god-like status and Nadal loves this surface.

KKOB Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 BOOOOOOOOO stupid sky sports!!! BBC should buy all the rights to all sport and show it on FreeView channels (except cricket and snooker-the worlds two most boring sports)

Nadal's favourite is clay court, even though Federer isn't at his best at the moment, he's still way better than everyone else. It's on hardcourt.
darksnowman Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Its on hardcourt and Federer should win. If not then Id like Agassi to win since its his last, twould be like Sampras winning it one last time. Murray shouldnt do much... and neither should Henman or Rusedski what with meeting Federer in the second round. If I had to choose one of them to go on a good run of wins Id pick Rusedski... but he'll probably not even get through the first round!
stev2604 Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Federer wasnt really on good form before wimbledon, look what happened! Hes still my favourite by far, im not even sure Nadal will make it past the quarters. His form has been even worse than federers. You can probably watch the US Open on eurosport if you have it
Ginger_Chris Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 tried your local? They might have it on. you can alwasy ask them to putit on after you've bought a drink, though you might be called a pansy cos its not football.
BeerMonkey Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 federer has lost one game in the past year against murray so he hardly off form :S
Charlie Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 federer has lost one game in the past year against murray so he hardly off form :S Nadal's beaten him a few times too.
stev2604 Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Ljubicic(no.3 seed) just went out in straight sets! And Roddick won pretty convincingly earlier!
MoogleViper Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I still think Nadal will win. I don't think Federer will. I have a gut feeling that Murray will win. But that may just be beacause I'm hungry.
