BNP, racist or not?

Recommended Posts

I actually agree with the BNP on a lot of things, I just think they can be a little too right wing at times, which is a shame really now that David Cameron is ruining the Tories.

I presonally think they are a little racist, but not all of their stuff is extreme

In the main I find that people who says the BNP have got some good ideas or policies actually know very little about them. Once you start showing them the "Assault rifle maditory in every home" manifestos or videos like the one above, their founder saying white women going out with black men is wrong, all the stuff they like the sweep under the carpet when they're trying to hop on tabloid scaremongering bandwagons, most rational people back off. The very core of their policies is racist and facist - exactly what my grandparents, and some of your great grandparents fought against. Saying that "Not all their stuff is extreme" reminds me a little of the phrase "At least Hitler made the buses run on time."

"The Doc" seems to think the views in that video don't constitute racism. Anyone agree with him?

They used to be, I have to admit I agree with 'some' of their stuff (of course not anything that is racist), what they need is a black member high up in the party.

Well you can see your manifesto here. Yes, there's some disgustingly racist policies in there, but I honestly think they make some good points.

Haha, unfortunately when they try to pull something like that, this kind of thing happens lol

There is a section of the BNp dedicated to finding black people who agree with apartheid as well.

I still think it's a bit of an odd thing to say.

Hitler's manifesto

1) Make buses run on time.

2) Day off for everyone half way through May.

3) Kill the Jews, Blacks, Gays, Disabled

4) Tax cuts for businesses

5) Invade Poland

6) Nice parade with flags and banners

Hey, that Adolph chap has some good ideas!

Fair enough, but see for example their education policies.

The BNP is full of sick people, racist disfunctional people who can't move on to see that we live in a very diverse and multicultural society.

I am half Arabic, just because I does that mean i'll have (stereotypically) have a load of children and work in at a taxi company? No, it doesn't. This guy has issues.

The BNP are too extreme in their ideas and carry too bad a reputation to ever be really taken seriously.

Oh dear, when I saw that I was utterly speechless, I cannot understand this persons thinking.

How does he know that there has not been a Black equivalent to Mozart or Dickens?? Does there need to be?

Thing is that some of the most intelligent and sociable people I know are black. There is no such thing as an ethnic minority in England anymore. I am Pakistani, and I was born there, and I spent the first 6 years of my life there. I go to Manchester Grammar School, got straight A's and A*'s in my GCSE's, am Grade 8 at guitar and am predicted all A's for my A levels. Does this make me somewhat of a statistical misnomer? No, of course not, I am after all, just another human being, and have the same mental capacity as any white person. Just take a look at the massive number of white youths that are guilty of the same things that he was accusing black people of!

The BNP are dangerous, and need to be disbanded as soon as possible. I'm just completely bewildered at how someone can actually have the views he does, there's no real tangible difference between people of different skin colour.

As for me, well I'm free of all prejudices. I hate everyone equally.

You say "of course" (as do I), but they're adamant they're not (At least "new BNP" is, there have been leaders in the past who have admitted "We are 100% racist, yes"). And if they keep saying it, there may be some people who believe their victim complex that they're persecuted and victimised by a liberal political correct media conspiracy.

Am I the only one who thought the video was funny? The things he was saying are horrible but his conviction just made me laugh.

I liked the way he went from "Bugger, I've been caught out" to "Well, yeah that's what I think so screw you"

It seems there are a few separate debates going on here, but all are mixed up to confuse you all. So, to give my personal view on each subdivision:

1 - Is BMP racist? To me, sounds like yes.

2 - Is everything they say necessarily wrong? No.

3 - Do I support them? No, not while they are being so narrow minded.

4 - Do they look like they have the ability and talent to run the country? No...

The BNP in itself is not racist; shame some of its members are though.

No, many of their politics i agree with. Some of their members are racist though.

I personaly oppose multiculturalism, as it undermines the host culture. (just look at BBC Asian Network, and that black music bbc radio station, can you imagine a "BBC White network"?)

Alot of what the BNP says it stuff that need to be said and mainsteam politicians are too scared to due to the politically correct fools and multiculturalist media.

Also, RE: the nazi party. Alot of what they stood for wasn't that bad. 60 years of propaganda and a war certainly close alot of peoples minds to certain politics. Its good to have an open mind.

The Nazi's were facist and were also racist. However national socialism on its own is not evil - as some people would have you think. Nationalism and socialism can have good effects too.

Also, the BNP are not facist. Some people just LOVE to use that word. The BNP believe in democracy. If you don't know what facist means don't use the term.

Sorry, but racism is to a point subjective, and many people would think BNP policies are racist - as well as their members. For my money, the BNP are incredibly politically correct - it's just a political correctness that dare not speak it's name. Look at all the shrill cries on their website of "Anti-white racism! Anti-white racism!" that they see everywhere and the pouting victim complex their vocal and odious little minority have ("It's the liberal/politically correct/multiculturalist/socialist media, it's the gay agenda, it's the BBC, they're all out to get us!"). If it was any other group, it would be called political correctness. Why can't you call it that when it's a white political minority crying and whining?

I think you make a good point there and I found myself nodding as I read them.

But when it comes to the way BNP projects itself, it really does not come across like that. It's almost as if a part of their appeal is that of racist attitude and that they'd rather gain support from "that part of community" than to clean out the party of such elements. It's almost as if a strong racist-like sentiment is needed to drive the core philosophy of the party, and I don't think I'm wrong in saying that such attitude came across on camera from time to time, while the party didn't seem to make much effort to do anything about it other than "explaining" it in the context of political correctness. They won't get away with that by saying "only some members are racists". That just won't do, I'm afraid. They need an explicit, aggressive system within the party to root out such elements to justify their claims.

Would that be possible for BNP? I don't know. My point is that while certain sets of policies and idealism may be right, it's how that principle is manifested by the party that counts. As it stands, BNP only has itself to blame for the racist image, IF that is how it comes across to some people (myself included).

Well, the british national party campaigns for what is in britain's national interest. But you could translate that into "what is in the host peoples interests".

tbh, i think its thinly disguised and they won't admit it. But IMO we need someone to speak out for white interests. There are so many pressure groups and people in the media, constantly complaining about anti-minority racism and campaigning for this that and the other.

To me, the BNP is trying to represent the host culture of britain (which is basically the "white", traditional one). The idea of multiculturalism is to enjoy the diversity of other cultures. Unfortunately this has been at the expense of the host culture.

I would argue, that while some parts of british society have been enriched by multiculturalism - others have been made worse. the bnp is trying to readress the balance. if sticking up for the host culture is "racist", so be it!

For example, in the police they aim to get a certain % ethnic minorites officers. This is blatant anti-white discrimination. It is only because it is anit-white that it gets swept under the carpet. the media is not interested in the interests of the majority, but rather the vocal ethnic minority that forever play the victim, pull the race card and promote multiculturalism.

I just think the traditional values, that made us British are worth protecting. Some people are in such a rush to "diversify" they are willing to sacrifice their own national identity - the bnp is not.

I agree with this 100%. A boyfriend of a mate of mine got told that they couldn't join the fire brigade because they were looking specifically for ethnic minorities, females and homosexuals.

Had this been a black man who got turned away, i believe there would have more of a fuss.
