mcj metroid Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 The man speaketh the truth. no he doesnt metroid prime hunters is great fun on mulitplayer.Id love a proper split screen mulitplayer.I know prime 2 was crap for it but still.
mcj metroid Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 ................what the fuck... your arguement is invalid ok im talking about metroid not smash bros. metroid prime 2 single player, and prime hunters had dissapointing, and some say, shit single player. incidentaly. they have multiplayer. go figure. yes but its nice to have extra modes something tells me your not a FAN OF mario kart or mario party either because of their focus on muliplayer. But its true in what u are saying it is arae to have a game thats excellent in single and multiplayer.halo=crap in multiplayer but good in single but timeplitters=brillianr in multiplayer but not so good in single player You're full of shit. yikes!haha i wont get involved in this!

But, i applaud games that try their best to acheive some sort of balance.
Meik Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 halo=crap in multiplayer but good in singleWait a minute, what?
Cubechris Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Certain games do not need multiplayer, Metroid being one of them, as for the Wii in general i just want to let my friends play with it too.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Wait a minute, what? I think he meant the first game. I would have to agree, the first game wasn't overly fantastic in multiplayer. A lot of the maps were fairly large, and could only be appreciated through the xbox-system link LAN play, which a lot of people didn't try. I would've loved to have given it a go. :p
mcj metroid Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 Wait a minute, what? well its not that fun in muliplayer...I never tried on line but on split screen in halo 2 its quite annoying,There is a lack of levels and weapons. Its an after thought end of story but timeplitters clearly had the focus on muliplayer same with games like mario kart, micromachines(i cant wait for v4!) and wario ware.
Hellfire Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 no he doesnt metroid prime hunters is great fun on mulitplayer.Id love a proper split screen mulitplayer.I know prime 2 was crap for it but still. That's because Hunters was built arround multiplayer. Unfortunately they don't have atime machine, so I rather have them spending their time perfecting the single player.
Cubechris Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Halo 2 - well its not that fun in muliplayer...I never tried on line but on split screen in halo 2 its quite annoying,There is a lack of levels and weapons. Its an after thought end of story Lamayo Post of the week, son. It's also the most well-developed multiplayer mode for a console FPS in existance, with 21 maps and a plethora of weapons, so i'm not sure where the "afterthought" mentality comes from. An average of 20 million games are still played online every month, more than a year and a half after it's release. I'd hardly think an "afterthought multiplayer" would garner those sorts of statistics. But seeing as you've only played split-screen i'll forgive you. 4-player split screen is indeed pretty crap.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 But seeing as you've only played split-screen i'll forgive you. 4-player split screen is indeed pretty crap. Aye. I believe that was the main focus in his post. He didn't criticise the online aspect, just the split screen-ness.

Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I didn't enjoy the first halo game in multiplayer, but i haven't played 2 online. I'd only heard good things about it, so maybe it's worth you trying it out? Anyway, i believe that in time, the online titles will start to be announced. Give it time.
McMad Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 halo=crap in multiplayer but good in single ....... What a load of Bollocks.....
mcj metroid Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 ok maybe crap was strong but game like unreal and timeplitters! But the focus was surely on the single player(i love the co op made by the way) hey i got one goldeneye 007 was excellent in single and multiplayer.what do ye think?

Guest Jordan Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I think it goes like this: Halo1 : Singleplayer- crap Multiplayer- cool Halo2: Singleplayer- great Multiplayer- great Now back on topic. er... yeah, I got nothing I'd have to totally disagree. Halo 1: Single player was fantastic innovation in many many fields. Great story telling also. Multi was fairly drab, unless with a 16 player system link or on Halo PC. Halo 2: Single player had a terribly rushed story and levels which sucked bar about 3 of them. Multiplayer wise its unrivaled on any console ever, it may feel like a boring generic FPS if it was on the PC but on a console its insane amounts of fun. Well balanced and great maps.

I have to disagree at all on the Halo1 part (I played it on the pc), the singler player was VERY shitty, the rooms in spaceships and buildings were all the same!! And then, afte enduring such pain I get to know space zombies (they're probably not zombies as I didn't played after that to know)!! I usually like this kind of sci-fi stuff, it was reason I started playing it, but this is just too much. The online part was pretty nice though.
gaggle64 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Aghh there will be more than four players on line.I want a 32 player f zero race I certainly hope so, but I do hope they up the number of on-track racers in the next one - at least 50. They don't nescerrly have to apply that to online players, but more of everything is how F-zero progresses. As for the above, yes Halo 1 had a fanatstic campaign, and yes, Halo 2 had a superb multiplayer. I don't care if all the rooms look the same, that's really not the point.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I have to disagree at all on the Halo1 part (I played it on the pc), the singler player was VERY shitty, the rooms in spaceships and buildings were all the same!! And then, afte enduring such pain I get to know space zombies (they're probably not zombies as I didn't played after that to know)!! This individual just spoke the truth!!! As an FPS, the gameplay is great (at least on the PC is) but the repetitiveness of the game world when inside of structures, and that FLOOD, just killed the singleplayer for me. I had more fun playing timesplitters in co-op. Won't comment on halo multiplayer since i never played it online. +/- on topic: F-ZERO PLEASE, we need it, like mcj metroid said, with 30 cars human controlled on screen!!
Shino Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 +/- on topic: F-ZERO PLEASE, we need it, like mcj metroid said, with 30 cars human controlled on screen!! HELL YEAH! I really like seeing all the faces on F-Zero GX, It would be great with human players.
