zoramon089 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Umm, Zelda:TP IS confirmed to be online. Not online in the sense of multiplayer but it will use WiiConnect24 in some way or another they said
mariosmentor Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 can someone clear this up for me, to play online there's not going to be servers or anything or infact any easy way to connect to random people it all has to be people you know and exchanged codes with? Because I mean theres nothing better than just jumping into a server whenever you like rather than organizing times for joint play. I mean it just seems a type of lazy play with you're friends rather than a way to connect universally. If i'm completely wrong tell me, i'll admit i spent about 10 mins looking for details and gave up. Maybe lazy play should suit me fine.
mariosmentor Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 10 mins of my life wasted, thanks buddy I guess i'll just go ask a nintendo CO Just remember that online isn't just about games, nintendo has been known for a long time for enjoyable multiplayer experiences but if they can incorparate something else into the game other than multiplayer to utilize the online capabilities i would be more than happy to accept it e.g. downloadable side quests in zelda, new mini games in monkey ball. Although I think I speak for the masses when I say monkey ball should be online, the prospect of a 16 man/monkey fight would send shivers down my spine if there ever was such a prospect
david.dakota Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Is there any indication that Nintendo will be offering more than 4-player online gaming. thats the only disapointment with ds wifi.

Well all online games so far (apart from Animal Crossing) you've been able to play with random people by searching for games, so I guess so. If you can't it would be really really disappointing.

ShadowV7 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Aghh there will be more than four players on line.I want a 32 player f zero race That will be a while...
The fish Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 CoD3 will be atleast 8P, I reckon. LAN will be at least 8 for any mp game, as well.
Charlie Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 CoD3 will be atleast 8P, I reckon. LAN will be at least 8 for any mp game, as well. I hope it's at least 16 player, CoD2 was 16 player on the Xbox...
Hellfire Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 DS is 4 player due to tech limitations, the Wii doesn't have that problem.
NotoriousLz Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I think it will change as more games go online, plus we don't know if metroid is or isn't online, surprises maybe?
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I think it will change as more games go online, plus we don't know if metroid is or isn't online, surprises maybe? First of all, welcome to the forums. Secondly, it's been said that metroid will be strictly single player. At the moment, its not going to be online. They might decide to add it in afterwards though, so there is still a slight glimmer of hope, but it's unlikely.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 No it aint... There's always hope. Clearly Lylat Wars has taught you nothing.
dabookerman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 There's always hope. Clearly Lylat Wars has taught you nothing. No, the fact is, metroid doesnt need a multiplayer. thats why there is no need for hope. we hope there ISNT a multiplayer, thats where the hope lies.

Multiplayer never hurts. Just visit the Prime Hunters thread and see the fun that those guys are having.
dabookerman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Multiplayer never hurts. Just visit the Prime Hunters thread and see the fun that those guys are having. Whatever, i would rather play an awesome metroid single player and leave a different fps for the multiplaying.

Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Aw well, it's all down to preference. Some of us love the multiplayer in Hunters, and i guess some don't. Can't please everybody. :p
dabookerman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Aw well, it's all down to preference. Some of us love the multiplayer in Hunters, and i guess some don't. Can't please everybody. :p Nope, its the fact that, effort put into multiplayer hinders the quality of the single player.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Nope, its the fact that, effort put into multiplayer hinders the quality of the single player. Yes, as Super Smash Bros. Melee clearly shows.
dabookerman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Yes, as Super Smash Bros. Melee clearly shows. ................what the fuck... your arguement is invalid ok im talking about metroid not smash bros. metroid prime 2 single player, and prime hunters had dissapointing, and some say, shit single player. incidentaly. they have multiplayer. go figure.

So, you're saying that your theory just applies to the Metroid series? It's all down to opinion anyway, like i said. You didn't like the prime 2 or hunters single player, but there will be others who did. I liked both the multiplayer functions in both prime 2 and hunters, so there's that opinion factor, again. Edit: Oh, and watch your language.
