Colin Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Is the scrolling through library tracks alot quicker in this version? As the current media player seems pretty slow to me with the scrolling.
AshMat Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 It is a little yes, on tyhe old one it used to be really slow with the amount of albums it went through

Guest Jordan Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Crap, you need SP2.. You still aren't on SP2? Jeeze... I tried it on my legit copy of SP2 on my other machine, damn it a nice interface. No doubt it'll appear in an iTunes soon.
The Peeps Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Did it download this slow for everyone else, or is it just my bad luck? Going at 9.4kB/sec - nope just dropped to 8.7 gonna take 40 mins Edit: I tried the other link and it's going at a normal speed now :p Edit 2: First impressions - not good really, I can't be bothered to get into why I don't like this but I'll be switching back in the morning...
Shorty Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I can't see why anyone would use WMP out of choice... Give me winamp or itunes with the AMIP plugin (best use of ctrl+j ever) any time.
CVD Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 iTunes is still better, but this is an improvement over 10. Ta for the link.
djamb3 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 BMy computer is a bit retarded...Does WMP11 use more ram than the 10 one?
That Guy Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 You still aren't on SP2? Jeeze...I tried it on my legit copy of SP2 on my other machine, damn it a nice interface. No doubt it'll appear in an iTunes soon. I'm running SP1 aswell, since my computer crashes even more often with SP2. Is it worth the more unstable computer to get this? Especially given that I'm entirely happy with the very easy to use iTunes.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I had some problems with x64, but the 32 bit SP2 is really great, security wise.
Ollie Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Those of you still on SP1 should seriously consider moving to SP2, there are soooo many nasties that need to be fixed, someone is probably buying stuff on your credit cards as we speak.
