DiemetriX Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 From his gamespy interview GameSpy: I've got to ask, how do you think Sony will do with that $600 price point? WW: Six hundred bucks; that is a lot of money. I'm rooting for Nintendo. What I don't like is that the way the Wii controller works depends a lot on how close you are to your TV. If you are five feet away it feels one way. If you are 10 feet away, it feels completely different. GameSpy: What games are you playing these days? WW: I am playing with my DS a lot. I am playing Brain Age and Sudoku. GameSpy: How old is your brain? WW: It's down to like 29. I did not like the original DS very much, but this new one [DS Lite] feels like an Apple product. It's heavier, smaller, and has a really nice screen. It's a lot brighter. -- Root for means (Slang) encourage, applaud a contestant, cheer -- Lets hope that spore comes to Wii in one way or another.
goku21 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 depends on the first time you calibrate your wiimote in your living-room, I think!
Owen Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 The DS lite isn't heavier then the original DS is it? I have one, and i'm sure it's lighter! Nintendo are getting more and more support! I sense a winning console!
demonmike04 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Nice to see some more positive response to the wii. I've gotta start planning how im gonna move around the furniture in my room soon, because the way my tv is placed right now there is no way im going to enjoy the wii.
gorrit Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 The DS lite isn't heavier then the original DS is it? I have one, and i'm sure it's lighter! I think he means in like "heft", that it feels sturdier etc. (Yes, I'm not a native english speaker, so I don't have a clue what it's actually called, but hopefully you get my point)
gaggle64 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Nintendo are rolling in good publicity! I hope will makes his own Wii project one day!
raven_blade2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Good, more vocal support from big name developers. Give us Spore and we will be very happy.
seamus_aran Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Don't give us spore! a port to a console will ruin it like it did with the sims.
gorrit Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 seamus_aran, Wouldn't Spore work rather well with the Wiimote? They wouldn't have to change it as much as they changed Sims when they ported that.
raven_blade2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Ok, give us Spore AND create a new original title for Wii as well.
