Tphi Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 .. They just won't know what it is until Nintendo's conference tomorrow.
fatnickc Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 At 17:30 today, we'll know the other secret of the PS3.
ndreamer Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 They just won't know what it is until Nintendo's conference tomorrow. haha someone on an ign blog posted that as well.
AshMat Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 .. They just won't know what it is until Nintendo's conference tomorrow. At 17:30 today, we'll know the other secret of the PS3. Quoted for agreement
Owen Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 At 17:30 today, we'll know the other secret of the PS3. LOL! Spot-on! Sony have no-idea what they are doing so they are blantently knicking other peoples ideas and saying it's their own. How someone could go up on stage and state the secret of our controller is that it has a motion sensor is terrible, i would be extremely embarressed.
Smiter Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 XDD This entire thread is so true. At least TGS is only a few months away from November, isn't it? Even if Sony were to rip off the Wii's final secret, they should have little to no time to implement it. Their entire R+D department must consist of techies sitting in front of TVs watching Nintendo conferences and interviews.
Mokong Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Yeah i bet Microsoft reveal something new for Xbox live and we'll see something similar added to the "PS3 Live" service...Sony must be feeling very good today, they're gonna have loads of "new" and "innovative" products and features by sun down
Pestneb Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I wonder if Nintendo will stoop to jokingly revealing "the final secret of the PS3.. I mean Wii is..."
Ysm Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 It wouldn't quite be as low as Sony have stooped though would it?
daved Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Hmm, yes Sony did nick the idea, but so did Nintendo. Microsoft has had motion sensing controllers out there in the marketplace for about 8 years now. It's called the Sidewinder Freestyle Pro. Admittedly the Nintendo controller is a little more advanced than Microsoft's effort, but the fact still remains that they stole the idea too.

Microsoft's controller was only a substitute to D-pad... it was never meant as a standard so it was just gimmick. Sure Nintendo used a existing technology, but they had the idea of making a console around it, it's not a rip off as long as no one thought of it before. Anyway... those gyroscopes in freestyle pro were kinda bad... but microsoft has 3D gyroscopes patents, just not made for gaming... it's comendable that they seen where Nintendo was going and didn't get them to "rip off their idea" of using it from ground on a console... let's face it... DS touch screen is not new, still it's fresh for games because it was a first... if sony comes next and implements it they are already copying...
