Petey Piranah Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Its common sense to assume she is a weak/fast type character, after all she is out of her suit, which is the very thing that makes her one of the most powerful video game characters around... I just hope she is selectable on the character select screen as an "alternative" skin. I'd be disappointed, if you could only play as ZSS after acquiring the smash orb...
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 What's so bad about fast/weak characters? Is it the fact that you need some skill to use them? Why are you offending me? Where did I state I disliked fast/weak characters?
Cube Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Why are you offending me? Where did I state I disliked fast/weak characters? Here : Ugh! Zero Suit is worst than Sheik IMO. Atleast he had some power behind his up special dissappearance move that was prone to smashing jumping foes sky high.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Here : Where? Sheik was actually one of my favourite characters - and his up smash attack only ever required MORE skill to master. All that was said is that if comparing the two by moves, Sheik roxors.

Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 "Ugh!" and "Atleast" stongly suggested that you disliked both ZSS and Sheik. "Ugh!" was my dislike for Zero Suit's moveset and the rest was ASSumption.
Hellfire Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 All that was said is that if comparing the two by moves, Sheik roxors. No, you said Samus was worst than Sheik. WHich doesn't make sense, because you didn't play the game. Plus I hate when people compare characters from sequels to the previous games, I hated it with Ness with SSBM and SSB and I'll hate it now. Different games, different characters, life goes on.
Zelda_Rulez Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 No, that is apparently her down-smash move, i.e. a smash move. I first thought they meant when you charge up her normal B move and then release it pointing the control stick downwards. But now I think it's in fact her down smash.

You just made my point - Obviously I have not played Brawl, so I prejudged Z.Samus by her move set compared with Sheik.
Goron_3 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Tbh, sheik was incredibly easy to use in Melee. All you have to do is spam down-smash, dash attack, and tilts, and DON'T even mention needles to me!

Its true, thats why using him can get a little tedious at times, especially when you have unlocked Marth. I generally just use tilts; that double side kick and that breakdance spin on the floor.

Mike Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Why do people call Sheik he? I thought Sheik was Zelda's alter ego, and as far as I'm aware therefore female. Why can't her alter ego be a he? The first time I played OOT, I though of Sheik as a he when I first met him/her.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Why do people call Sheik he? I thought Sheik was Zelda's alter ego, and as far as I'm aware therefore female. Sheik is referred to as a 'man' by a few characters in OOT including Ruto, furthermore he has a male physique and I am almost sure that it was mentioned somewhere (maybe in a trophy) that Zelda can change sex when altering appearance...Though I may be wrong.

It's one of the things that Nintendo has left open to speculation.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 It's one of the things that Nintendo has left open to speculation. No...Because Princess Ruto refers to Sheik as the 'young man' that saved her from the ice. Being in the script means therefore it is fact, not theory. (Note the lack of breasts on Sheik).
Goron_3 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Either way, sheik was a beast on Melee. His forward-Air is REALLY powerful and is basically a gauranteed KO above 80% cos you can just needle them after. Sheik is too gay.
Mokong Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 No...Because Princess Ruto refers to Sheik as the 'young man' that saved her from the ice. Being in the script means therefore it is fact, not theory. (Note the lack of breasts on Sheik). well nobody knew that Shiek was Zelda, and remember Zelda was trying to stay hidden, but couldn't help but get involved, seeing a mysterious female character pop up to help would raise suspicion, but with the help of some maybe cloth wrapped tightly round the chest to flatten her "assets" she can gain a male like look. She doesn't have the biggest boobs afterall
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Sheik is too gay. Actually Sheik makes me respect Transsexuals even more. well nobody knew that Shiek was Zelda, and remember Zelda was trying to stay hidden, but couldn't help but get involved, seeing a mysterious female character pop up to help would raise suspicion, but with the help of some maybe cloth wrapped tightly round the chest to flatten her "assets" she can gain a male like look. She doesn't have the biggest boobs afterall Sheik's clothing is skin-tight, tapping the breasts down seem a little overexaggerated, I'll rather accept that Zelda's 'wisdom' can transform her into any form she wishes.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Question: Does anyone think this game could actually score a perfect 100%? ...I really can't a reason why this can't, I actually only see the wifi (lag and all) as potentially interupting with the scores of this game. I think this is when online should be classed as merely an addition, rather than a game enhancing/ruining mode.

The previous 2 weren't rated that highly either (80% and 90% respectively). And you'll probably get some reviews docking points for being too similar to Melee.
Jonnas Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 The question is: What site/reviewer are you expecting to give those scores? My predictions: Gamespot: I say between 9.2-9.5. Gamespot is picky with certain games (SSBM, Skies of Arcadia) Eurogamer: 10 in 10. I usually agree with Eurogamer. IGN: I don't usually read their reviews, but they have the hots for Nintendo, right? I say 9.8. I only read a few sites and I have no idea of how good this game actually is, so you may expect my opinions to be a little off.

I was going by Gamerankings average, but I agree with your predictions. I think Gamespot will give the lowest score, and seeing as they only rate in .5 increment nowadays I'm guessing 9.0.
Kraser Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 We don't know all about the game yet. I'm sure Nintendo still has something in the sleeves, although probably it shouldn't be a spectacular thing. But they could be impressed about the game. I mean, they like fight, isn't it? xD Anyway, they gave a 9 to ZPH and i wasn't expecting that at all.
