The Mad Monkey Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Cool, I did here a rumour about them, and a possible resurrection of the originals, would be nice, but I heard the same rumour last year.
Serebii Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Cool, I did here a rumour about them, and a possible resurrection of the originals, would be nice, but I heard the same rumour last year. Think these are meant to be the originals...check the logo
The Mad Monkey Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) The Cybus logo on their chests? Those ain't the originals, I mean these guys. Edited May 25, 2011 by Mr_Odwin Added spoiler tags
Serebii Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 There is no logo on the chest, that's to what I was referring, just a plate
The Mad Monkey Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) I can just about make out the cybus logo on the black leader. It's not as obvious as this one but it's definitely there. Edited May 25, 2011 by Mr_Odwin Added spoiler tags
Serebii Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 It's not. The DW page on FB posted that image a while back in higher quality
The Mad Monkey Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I'm not sure, I still think I can see a very faint line inside the circle. Seems odd they'd have exactly the same design too.

Cube Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Seems odd they'd have exactly the same design too. They have the same design because it means they don't have to make new suits.
The Mad Monkey Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho Yes, I saw, still not convinced they're the originals from just the lack of logo though. They have the same design because it means they don't have to make new suits. They wouldn't have to make new suits with the original ones either, bet the BBC still have some left somewhere.
flameboy Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) I don't get why they would outright spoil the SPOILER turning up... Edited May 25, 2011 by flameboy
LegoMan1031 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 First up, we’ve got the regular TARDIS trio and, of course, joining them again, River Song (Alex Kingston). Also confirmed to be returning is Captain Avery (Hugh Bonneville) and his son Toby (Oscar Lloyd) from The Curse of the Black Spot. Monsters include the Cybermen (voiced again by Nicolas Briggs) and the Sontarans, represented by Commander Strax (Dan Starkey). Madame Kovarian (Frances Barber) – otherwise known as Eye Patch Lady – is listed, along with a new character called Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh). McIntosh previously played Silurian sisters Alaya and Restac in The Hungry Earth two-parter. Could Vastra be a Silurian as well? Dorium (Simon Fisher Becker) – the blue-skinned trader from The Pandorica Opens – will appear once more (seen in the CBBC Series 6 trailer). Damian Kell will be playing Dominicus, who surely is a Roman. Danny Sapani is Colonel Manton, a member of UNIT perhaps? We also have a pair of strange sounding characters called Fat One (Charlie Baker) and Thin One (Dan Johnston). And there is a character called Jenny (Catrin Stewart) who most likely isn’t a new incarnation of the Doctor’s daughter (previously played by Georgia Moffett), but you never know. Check out the full list below: The Doctor – Matt Smith Amy Pond – Karen Gillan Rory Williams – Arthur Darvill River Song – Alex Kingston Madame Kovarian – Frances Barber Lorna Bucket – Christina Chong Lucas – Joshua Hayes Dominicus – Damian Kell Fat One – Charlie Baker Thin One – Dan Johnston Colonel Manton – Danny Sapani Madame Vastra – Neve McIntosh Jenny – Catrin Stewart Captain Harcourt – Richard Trinder Eleanor – Annabel Cleare Arthur – Henry Wood Commander Strax – Dan Starkey Dorium Maldovar – Simon Fisher-Becker Henry Avery – Hugh Bonneville Toby Avery – Oscar Lloyd Voice of the Cybermen – Nicolas Briggs Source: Doctor Who TV http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/whos-in-a-good-man-goes-to-war-20849.htm#ixzz1NShr5neO

Always thought he would come back at some point though.
LegoMan1031 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 very interesting. the return of Captain Avery quite so soon! Always thought he would come back at some point though. Yeah i was very surprised to see that name in the list! I didn't expect to see him again to be honest, i just thought he was going to be a one episode character!

LegoMan1031 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) Nah defintely got feeling he would be back at some point. I also didn't think we would be seeing the character Craig Owens (James Cordon) again but i have been proved wrong there as well! Edited May 26, 2011 by Mike1988uk
Agent Gibbs Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I also didn't think we would be seeing the character Craig Owens (James Cordon) again but i have been proved wrong there as well! please tell me that horrible excuse for a human being is not in it again, i can't stand him
LegoMan1031 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 please tell me that horrible excuse for a human being is not in it again, i can't stand him Sorry... http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/news/bulletin_110225_02
The Mad Monkey Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Moffatt is a dick, he writes shitty characters and then doesn't know when to get rid of them, that's why we have to suffer a minimum of 4 River Song episodes a series now.
Happenstance Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 You dont like River Song? I never realised, you've never mentioned it before....
Serebii Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I don't see the reason for the hate for River Song. She's a good and intriguing character
LegoMan1031 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I like the character as well, i found her very interesting in how she has been introduced and the timeline story with her, plus i am very interested to be finding out the mystery behind her!
Agent Gibbs Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Sorry... http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/news/bulletin_110225_02 Oh god seriously? the guy has one acting style, slightly dim but nice fat guy, he played that role in gavin and stacy, Lesbian Vampire hunters, and Doctor who! he's shocking as an actor and comedian!, his jokes and entire career revolve round being a fat guy by comparison River Song/Alex Kingston are oscar winning performances of beloved characters
Hamishmash Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Oh god seriously? the guy has one acting style, slightly dim but nice fat guy, he played that role in gavin and stacy, Lesbian Vampire hunters, and Doctor who! he's shocking as an actor and comedian!, his jokes and entire career revolve round being a fat guy Perhaps it doesn't help that that's the only thing people chose to cast him as. I'm sure he'd want to do something else, he's a good actor, but a lot of good actors rarely get a choice.
