NOD32 is perhaps the best anti-virus program I have ever used, I had an infection from a crack file that AVG couldn't even touch downloaded NOD32 4 hours (2 deep scans) later I was 100% clean. If you have a semi-decent firewall and just any average anti-virus you'll be generally fine unless you surf dodgy porn sites all day.
