Retro_Link Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 http://www.cubed3.com/news/4571 Naruto Developer Hot On Revolution; In an interview with IGN, Japanese developer Eighting (Bloody Roar, Naruto, Kuru Kururin) stated its interest in Nintendo's next system: "...we believe that the Revolution will enable us to expand our creativity through it's unique interface." Could we see more anime action or even puzzle game Kuru Kururin? Kuru Kuru Kururin is a fantastic game on the GBA and I think they even made a GC version (that wasn't released over here, or wasn't released in the end!).It would be great to have Kuru Kuru Kururin on the Rev!! Eighting's other game series are great aswell, and they would be a great developer to have support the Revolution!
Nintendork Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Can't see myself playing a puzzle game at home personally.. more of a portable thing.
Mundi Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 *starts tap-dancing* oh when the saints, oh when the saints, oh when the saints start marching in...
gorrit Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Nintendork, didn't like Super Monkey Ball, did we? Great news, but not that suprising tho But I enjoyed Kuru Kuru Kururin very much, so I hope they come up with something that utilizes the Rev controller in a nice way.
Migraine Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Maybe KuruKuruKururin in reverse...? So you control the angle of the helecopter thing with the revmote while it moves around the course on its own. Agh! Brain melting...
Nintendork Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I've not played monkey ball, I'm sure i'd love it but that is an exception along with broken sword (point and click puzzler). I might try out the DS version..
YenRug Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Guys, check the reported demos tried out behind the scenes at the Tokyo Game Show, one of them sounded suspiciously like KuruKuruKururin.
MunKy Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Wow Bloody Roar, I completely forgot about that game! Kuru Kuru Kurin would be great for Revo. Interesting Kuru is a fatal disease http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuru_%28disease%29
DiemetriX Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Maybe you have to hold the revolution controler side ways and twist it :P
DCK Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Don't think so, if you were able to control the rotation it would be like cheating I guess you'll have to guide the propellor (how do you spell that?) through the maze with the revmote.
Retro_Link Posted February 16, 2006 Author Posted February 16, 2006 From http://www.ign.com IGN: What do you think of Nintendo's Revolution console? Please be detailed in your response. What are your thoughts on the controller? How might a fighter like Naruto be handled with the controller? Eighting: With the capabilities of the new hardware, we believe that the Revolution will enable us to expand our creativity through it's unique interface. With regards to using the new controller for fighting games, we're excited to be able to explore new options and ideas that will create new experiences for gamers. IGN: Are you working on any projects for Nintendo Revolution? Eighting: We would like to decline to comment on the Nintendo Revolution at this time. While they weren't able to comment on possible projects in the works, their excitement to explore the Revolution console is a great start for hopeful fans. Could we be seeing a new motion-capture fighting game, or perhaps a reincarnation of the Bloody Roar series on the Revolution? Only time will tell…
Zicler Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen Revolution would be great
AshMat Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 USe the freehand instead of the d-pad, moving the controller around to move the helicopter. I'd buy it, Kuru was a good game
