Julius Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) This might get moved at some point when consoles are announced, but for now: Great website FAQs, too: Quote What platforms or consoles will it be on? Can I play it on my- Dandy Wheeler, PR specialist: Yes, let's enjoy this moment, right now, where anything is possible. Can you play it on your 2004 Discman? Maybe. Let's just let the vast expanse of uncertainty fill our hearts with wonder, while we fill our bank accounts with exclusive distribution contracts. Edited April 18 by Julius
Dcubed Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 FUCK YEAH!! I love World of Goo! So that means that Little Inferno is now the only 2DBoy/Tomorrow Corporation game to not get a sequel... Clearly that means that Big Inferno is coming next! 1
WackerJr Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 The first game was really good, feeling chaotic but creative and flexible with its solutions. Glad it’s getting a sequel and looking forward to seeing whether they decide to simply expand and add more levels or add new concepts.
Ashley Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Oh my glob! Had a lot of fun with the original on the Wii. Looking forward to this.
Julius Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 May 24th, and now confirmed for Switch, too, as revealed in today's Direct! Quote World of Goo 2 is arriving for Nintendo Switch in 2024! Now with more Goo! Use living liquid creatures to build bridges, grow towers, terraform terrain, and more in a beautiful, dangerous, and evolving world when World of Goo 2 arrives 5/23. @Ashley any chance you could move this across to Nintendo Gaming now that a Switch version has been confirmed please?

Ahh shite! I just made a WOG2 thread on the Switch side because I couldn't find the old one there and thought we didn't have an N-E thread; I even posted in this one earlier! When I saw you tagged me in this topic I thought "wow he remembered how much I liked World of Goo" but alas you just want me to do your bidding 😋 3
Dcubed Posted April 17 Posted April 17 The goo was just too thick and viscous to fit through the May hole... August 2nd it is. 2
Ashley Posted August 3 Posted August 3 It's out now and just looked and it's £25.19 (guessing it's some kind of launch discount). Think I'll wait a bit.
Cube Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I do feel like the lack of fanfare, high price (compared to many other indie games) and how it's been so long will result in poor sales, just like the Braid remake.

Although the developers behind World of Goo haven't spent the intervening years proving themselves to be an insufferable dick so hopefully they'll do better. 1 1
