killthenet Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) Well there's a report today about how Bungie is in a bit of a state about how Marathon has been received so far (not helped by the pretty clear plagiarism claim lobbied against them). They are considering delaying it to do more polishing but it's not a very good start to be mired in controversy already. I don't think the generic title will really help them either, it certainly didn't help the last live service failure (I literally spent like 3 minutes trying to find out what the title of Concord was before I made this post - had completely forgotten what it was called) Edited 16 hours ago by killthenet

I agree though, it's not a great name. Me and a lad at work were talking about Bungie just last week. All of their past FPS games have a really good feel and the gunplay is top notch but everything about the company is a shell of who they once were. Given all the stuff that has gone on with them since the acquisition, Sony must be fuming that they spent 3 billion on them, especially if Marathon flops.
