So, i've been phoning around to see who's doing a midnight opening in my area and it seems like GAME are the only ones. I asked them if they would be selling the Wii U version and he had to go and ask someone....not a good start. He came back and told me that they only have 2 copies for sale. 2 FREAKING COPIES!!

You are lucky, I phoned up my local Game, they aren't stocking it for the Wii U.

Thats going to be me tonight. I reckon my store has specifically ordered a copy for me.

Im sure im the only CoD Wii U owner in the city. Oh and not forgetting @lostmario, of course.

There is no chance of me having this tomorrow.

Argos are online only, Game Meadowhall haven't ordered any. Who is left??

Theres that indy store on top of the moor. Contact them. They are called Play.

Alternatively call Fargate Game to see if they have more than my copy in.

@lostmario. Isnt there a Game at Crystal Peaks aswell?

Call Of Duty is great on Wii U

Oh I know it is. But I thought you said you weren't getting it because it didn't have DLC.

All this is utter bullshit. No one stocked Need for speed, it meant they didn't make the new one. People are barely stocking this... I just don't understand why!! Utterly mental.

@lostmario Try Game at Crystal Peaks or the big Asda at Handsworth

Phoned up Asda, their response "We don't stock Wii U games"

Crystal Peaks is 30-40 minutes drive, if Meadowhall aint stocking it, I doubt they would.

Is there not a HMV at Meadowhall?

Yes, but I don't want to Jinx it so I'm not phoning them

@lostmario If you go Shopto you will get it on Weds. Alternatively take my offer up of seeing if there are any more copies when I go to Game tonight and ask them to save you a copy. I know you hate town though. Depends how much you want it tomorrow.

If I can't get it tomorrow from Meadowhall, I'll order it from ShopTo.

Biggest game release of the year and the Wii U version is limited stock everywhere. No wonder the console is struggling.

That means you wont get it until Thurs if order from Shopto. Just give HMV a call to check so you are not wasting your time.

It's the same everywhere. I went Ito my local Grainger to double check they got the game in. They hadn't received it, yet they were supposed to.it would have been the only WiiU copy they had.

Luckily they Gould have received it in the morning delivery but hadn't so they called the manchester warehouse to see what had happened with the deliveries. Turned out that my copy got delivered to another store, only 3 miles away mind and they're still doing a midnight launch too, so the staff at my branch told them to put my copy to the side for me.

Now the joke. In manchester, all that was ordered for WiiU from Grainger was apparently the following:

Altrincham (my local branch) - 1 copy

Sale (my game ended up here) - 3 copies

Stockport - 7 copies

HMV?

Yes, but I don't want to Jinx it so I'm not phoning them

HMV mention the Wii U on their posters, unlike GAME, so hopefully, you should be okay!

The two HMV's in North Wales have a better and bigger Wii U display than GAME, even stocking titles, GAME have never had on their shelves. Crazy, that they are doing a better job than a specialist games retailer.

how is activision to blame here?

I thought Shops request how many copies they need.

Not necessarily Activisions fault. Im saying that they will probably not realise that one of the reasons for low sales is due to no chuffer stocking it!

Ive got it!!!

Only Wii U owner there. How embarrassing.

Same here! :D

It wasn't nearly as crowded as previous years. I was actually surprised Game were selling this for £45. I was expecting to pay £55 due to the usual Game tax.

I'm just downloading the update now and will have a few cheeky games before going to bed.

mmmm..

lets first see if there reports of Wii U owners struggling to find copies first before we start using that as an excuse for low sales.

Shop managers obviously feel the demand is just not there.
