madeinbeats Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) This new version of F1 Race Stars will include all four DLC tracks – Europe, Canada, India, and China – along with nine accessory pack bundles. It’s currently unknown if Codemasters will be cramming in any additional content on Wii U. ~ http://nintendoeverything.com/116239/codemasters-bringing-f1-race-stars-powered-up-edition-to-wii-u/ Edited March 18, 2013 by madeinbeats
madeinbeats Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 These accessory bundles seem to alter things like horn noises and skidmark shapes!
Retro_Link Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 That's weird... I'm sure there are a lot more DLC tracks available?!... I was on PSN the other days and thought all the remaining tracks had been done? The reason I didn't buy the PS3 version was the shortage of tracks, but I'm gonna download it on Plus now that I've got it.
darkjak Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Despite this seemingly being a decent kart racer, I can't help but wonder: WHY?
dazzybee Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 You can cut and paste that in a lot of threads of wii u games.... it's, getting a tad depressing!
Kaepora_Gaebora Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I may be wrong due to the overall colours, but is that Bruno Senna on the right of the box? I hope they have updated the team rosters at least, Hamilton no where on the cover would suggest maybe they have, but if not then this is redundant!
Rowan Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I had fun playing it for a few weeks after getting it for free off PS+. Decent kart game that has some unique elements in the genre like the pit stops and modes like boosts last forever until you break, and whoevers in 1st place has their controls flipped. Tracks are ok but kinda generic/stereotypical. Items are a little uninspired and I wish the game overall took more advantage of the F1 license. The later tournaments are a bit frustrating as the AI is pretty unforgiving. Overall it's an ok game, but I wouldn't spend £20+ on it. Best wait for Mario Kart or stick with Sonic.
madeinbeats Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) Just a load of down-sampled jizz shots slapped on a GamePad stock image, but hey, don't be so ungrateful. Edited April 20, 2013 by madeinbeats
Clownferret Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 i really liked the look of this as a MK alternative, but saw it did not get great reviews on 360/PS3 anybody played it?
Cube Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 i really liked the look of this as a MK alternative, but saw it did not get great reviews on 360/PS3 anybody played it? If you want an MK alternative, the Sonic one is miles better than this.
bryanee Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I downloaded it for free on plus and I thought it was bloody awful. What kind of a kart game has no drift mechanic? It made races slow and tiresome. Don't buy it.
Retro_Link Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I enjoyed the demo a lot, will download the full game on Plus sometime. Weapons somewhat suck however.
S.C.G Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I'd rather wait for Mario Kart and keep on playing Sega Racing until it arrives than buy this... It's good that the Wii U has another - hopefully budget - third party title but it's just not for me, I've too many better games to play. :p
