I was having a look at Wii U on Amazon UK and came across listings for Nintendo Licensed accessories all with a 30th November release date. A November release sounds right to me, just like to know your thoughts on this.

Here are the links -

Nintendo Licensed Stand & Storage Case: £29.99

Nintendo Licensed Write & Protect Kit: £7.99

I just find it quite interesting, sorry if this has been posted before. Thanks for looking! :)

Those Amazon UK listings were correct after all :)

I wouldn't place too much hope in that, I am convinced - assuming Black Ops is confirmed - we'll see WiiU cash in on Activisions bohemoth and release in western territories at least the week before.

It'll be before that I believe. They'll want to release before thanksgiving to start with strong sales there before a huge xmas rush.

I was hoping for an October release too, but I can see it being the beginning of November to encompass thanks giving and the early Christmas buying. Leaving it till the very end of November would be a mistake as you miss a huge chunk of the holiday season.

Sounds fairly likely. Nintendo will probably push back the EU and JPN releases of the Wii U if they have to in order to get the Wii U out in the US before Black Friday and Thanksgiving.

I suspect that they were planning to have it release in the EU a little earlier in the month, but production scheduling probably forced them to delay a little bit in order to make the US date with enough stock.

IF I got a Wii U, I wouldn't get any of those accessories. I'm still waiting to see the price on it before I make any purchase decisions, though.

Release date sounds about right, give or take a week or two.

I'm not sure I'll bother with any accessories. Only the essential stuff. Unless something comes along that is needed for a game.
