RE Saw Chapter Six

Sarka opened his eyes to see EEVILMURRAY lying dead on the floor next to him. “Oh shit.â€

He decided to investigate after hearing voices coming from the large room. There were two men, one sitting down with his back against the wall, the other standing with his hand to his chin.

“We’re trying to locate the source of these cameras. Stay put and don’t do anything stupid.â€

“Oh thank god.â€

“What’s going on?â€

The two men looked at Sarka and then back at each other. Lazyboy opened his mouth.

“It’s the police. Apparently they’re trying to find us.â€

After what he had been through, Sarka didn’t know if he could trust these two.

“But that doesn’t mean they’ll do it before our time runs out.â€

“What’s your name?â€

“Sarka.â€

“Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll be just fine.â€

BANG.

“What was that?â€

“I don’t know. It sounded like it came from in here.â€

Dabookerman put his hand to the door handle and twisted, but it was locked. After a bit of thinking, he then moved to the next door and successfully opened it. Inside he looked through the glass wall into the room the noise came from, and saw a man laying on the ground covered in blood with half his head scattered all over the floor. There was a shotgun pointed at what was left of his face that had presumably made the loud noise, and there were wires coming off from all over his body linking to the trigger. Sickened from the image he had just seen, Dabookerman turned back round to face the door. Sarka and Lazyboy had hesitated to enter the room, as there could have been any sort of life-taking trap in there.

“So is it safe to go in there?â€

“Yea- Hey, there’s another key here.â€

“What?â€

“Yeah, it’s just dangling here from the roof.â€

Something lit up in Sarka’s brain.

“No! That’s my room, don’t take the…â€

The door slammed shut with a mighty force.

“Key.â€

Lazyboy started shouting at the top of his lungs as Sarka attempted to break the now permanently locked door down.

“What the hell just happened?â€

“That was my room; my trap. To not take the key.â€

â€That was your trap? To not take a key? I had to throw away two other people’s lives and all you had to do was not take a fucking key? Wait, does this mean you don’t have a key at all?â€

“No, that was a second key. My trap was to not take a second key.â€

“You have two keys?â€

“No I-“

“This is detective Millers again, we’ve found the source of the cameras. There’s someone else still alive trapped in one of the rooms, I can see him on a monitor. There doesn’t seem to be anything dangerous in the room with him, so see if you can unlock the door so we can give him immediate assistance when we arrive.â€

“That’s weird… there is more than one person still in their room with no way to escape, why is he focusing on that one guy?â€

“Are you crazy? This guy is going to save us, and you don’t trust him? He probably knows that this guy can be saved.â€

“I’m not saying I don’t trust him, I’m just saying-“

“What? What are you saying?â€

“Arguing is getting us nowhere. Let’s just search for this guy.â€

“Alright then. You start on that side trying to open doors, I’ll start over here.â€

The two men turned their backs to each other and walked towards a door, at which point they both started trying to open them. Much to his amazement, Sarka found one that wasn’t locked and hadn’t been entered before.

“Over here.â€

Lazyboy watched as Sarka entered the room, intrigued.

“Hello, is anyone there?â€

Somehow what Sarka had just said made its way onto the speakers for all to hear.

“What th-“

Lazyboy ran into the newly discovered room to find Sarka’s lifeless body lying on the floor, with a shadowy figure standing over it. The unknown man got up, holding a knife in one hand and a walkie-talkie in the other. He raised the walkie-talkie to his mouth.

“Why hello there, my name is Kopo.â€

The voice travelled from his mouth into the speakers, and for some reason Lazyboy thought it sounded very familiar.

He stepped forwards, gripping the knife tightly, and dropped the walkie-talkie.

“I’m afraid I’m going to have to kill you now.â€

He swung the knife, but luckily Lazyboy was able to duck under it and get out of his range before he swung again.

“You can’t escape your fate; you’re going to die. You might as well give in now, that way your death will be quick and painless.â€

“You don’t have to do this.â€

“If I don’t then we’ll both die.â€

“We just have to wait for the police, they’re coming, they said they’re going to save us.â€

“No you fool, don’t you understand? There is no detective Millers, and there never was. It was all a charade, a trick pulled by me. There’s no one coming to save you.â€

“You’re lying.â€

“This isn’t anything personal, I have to do it. I was given a choice; make sure no one ever escapes from here, or be trapped in this hellhole forever. Sadly my door was locked from the other side, and I needed to get one of you to open it for me. If I had told you outright that I was stuck in the room, you might have thought it was a trap. I had to improvise. I had to play the game. And now, unfortunately for you, I’m about to win.â€

Kopo swiped at Lazyboy, but again missed, sending the knife straight into the electrified fence guarding the glass wall.

“AAARGHHHHHHâ€

Lazyboy breathed a sigh of relief.

He looked around. Instead of a second see-through glass wall, Kopo’s room had monitors displaying all the other rooms, and in most of them was a dead body laying on the floor. Above the monitors was a timer counting down. Two minutes left. Lazyboy realised that must be what’s left of the time limit. He began searching Sarka’s body for his key, which he found relatively easily. He staggered into the main room, and fitted the key into the trap door. He waited one minute until…

Click.

The key turned automatically.

Lazyboy pulled on the handle; it was certainly heavy, but not enough to make it impossible to lift. After a bit of struggling, the door reached the 90-degree mark and then came tumbling down onto the other side. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, crawled over and looked down. It was too dark to see to the bottom, but there was a ladder. He grabbed hold of the two bars and climbed down. At the bottom it was still impossible to see anything. Suddenly a light flickered on. Lazyboy inspected the room he was in; there was a metal door with a keyhole in it. On the wall next to it was a strange device. He moved over to the door and turned the handle. Nothing. It wouldn’t open. Confused, Lazyboy turned back around and saw a carcass propped up against a wall. One of its hands was missing as well as its eyes, and its shirt was soaked in blood. In its other hand was a cassette player. Lazyboy pried the hand open and took it.

“Hello Owario. I want to play a game. To your left is a steel door that leads to your freedom. There are two circumstances that need to be met in order for it to be unlocked. Five months from now, thirteen other contestants will be placed into this game, and one will be given the key that fits into the keyhole in that door. The second circumstance is in the form of an iris scanner that only recognises your eyes. Yes, your eyes, Owario. The scanner, which is located next to the door, will become active when the other contestants arrive. The only way you can all escape, Owario, is if you survive. As for food… cannibalism is a terrible fixation to have. I hope you learn your lesson this way.â€

The cassette player smashed into pieces as it hit the floor.

“NO!â€

Lazyboy ran to the iris scanner and tried to use it. The words ‘Access denied’ appeared on the screen in red. The speakers boomed on, and the same memorable deep voice spoke again.

“Hello Dukkadukka, Katie, The Twilighter, EEVILMURRAY, Sarka, Bluejay, Dabookerman, Lazyboy, Athriller, JonSt, Destiny Blade, Kopo, Owario. You all have something in common with each other. Before this event you all relied on other people to survive, yet when you are forced to do the same thing, but in much simpler and more confronting way, you fail miserably. You’re happy to take what you can get, but you won’t put in the effort to give something back. That is why you are all here, and that is why you have all failed. That is why you do not deserve to existâ€

Lazyboy now heard footsteps above him, and he ran to the ladder and began to climb.

A man in a red cloak appeared at the top, looking down at him.

“Please…â€

“Most people are so ungrateful to be alive. But not you. Not anymore.â€

“No don’t!â€

He slammed shut the trap door with such a force that Lazyboy fell back onto the ground.

“NO!

Before turning off, never to be used again, the speakers uttered one last deafening message.

"GAME OVER!"

That was a bloody shambles! I was expecting me to come back "from the dead" [on account of not really being dead] and start kicking arse and taking names.

This will have to do then :)

Well technically you're not dead yet, but there's no hope of escape. Remember Sarka's trap? The one where the extra key fell down? Well the room you entered was Sarka's room. You tried to take the second key which then triggered the permanent lockage of the door.

Edit: Here is where he enters the room-

'Dabookerman put his hand to the door handle and twisted, but it was locked. After a bit of thinking, he then moved to the next door and successfully opened it.'

I mustn't have explained it very well. When Sarka wakes up, he walks into the main room, where he finds two men- Lazyboy and Dabookerman.

That was ace, :)

Put em all into one big story, so we can have a copy on our PC's, reckon few mates of mine wud like to read that.

Are there any books based on the SAW movies?

There aren't any books, but if you go to the House of Jigsaw forums you'll find plenty of fan made traps, but no full stories. (As far as I know) Unfortunately most of the traps are just poor rehashes of the ones used in the films with minor changes.

I'll put it all together tomorrow unless someone else wants to do it for me.

As requested, here's the whole thing in one place. By the way Retro, the forums I meant were linked to in the post where I mentioned them. But just for you, HERE they are again.

RE Saw Chapter One

As Katie awoke she felt a searing pain in her head, the feeling was excruciating. She fell to her knees clutching her face, and then, as quickly as it came, the pain disappeared. She stood up and tried to make out any form of object, but it was too dark. The floor, it wasn’t the soft and cosy carpet of her bedroom; it was cold and hard on her feet. She didn’t recall drinking the night before; all she could remember was driving home to her family after a long day at work. How could she not remember where she was or how she got there?

“Hello? Is anybody there?â€

No response. Katie stumbled around to try and find a light switch, but to no avail. She continued to scan the wall with her palms, hoping to find anything that could be of use, until she came across a smooth surface, which after a quick tap, Katie believed to be made of metal. Her arms stretched out and began searching all around the metal area, and she found exactly what she was looking for: a doorknob. She twisted it, but it was no use; the door was definitely locked. She again began to feel her way around the wall, and felt a thick wire like object on one of them. BAM. Katie flew back onto the ground, a burning sensation in her hands. What was that? An electric shock?

Katie cowered and shut her eyes as a bright light flickered on. As she opened her eyes, all she could see was a brown blur with a bluish rectangle in the middle of it. Before her eyes properly focused, she began to wish that this was all a dream and that she was about to wake up any second now, but it never happened. The bluish rectangle revealed itself to be a large metallic door with a keyhole in the knob. She looked around and studied the room. It was in the shape of a triangle; it had three walls, two of which had fences covering them. She figured that they must be electric fences and that’s what gave her the shock. One of these walls seemed to be made of glass, but the other was more interesting. Katie could see through the other one, right into an exact replica of the very same room she was in. There was one major difference about the room she was looking into however, and that was the man dressed in a suit trying to break down his blue metallic door.

“Rise and shine everybody, I want to play a game.â€

It was at that point that Katie realised the speaker in the top corner of the room, currently booming out a deep and mysterious voice.

“Before we get started I’d like to take a moment to point out the electric fence covering the two glass walls. At this very moment the voltage is low enough just to give you a light shock, but right now it is being upped to a lethal amount. I’m sure you are all willing to give me the benefit of the doubt on that one. Now let me tell you a little bit more about this game I want to play. There will be winners, and there will be losers, this is guaranteed. But you yourselves are the people who decide who fits into which category. To win you must escape, but before you get your hopes up, it’s not that easy. You each have a task to complete before you are allowed to play for the grand prize of freedom, whether you complete it or not is up to you, but let me assure you, you don’t want to be a runner up in this particular game. The cassette player and tape that briefs you on your task is somewhere in the room you are currently in.

Now, onto more important things. I’m sure you have noticed that one of the glass walls is see through. And given that, I’m sure you have noticed that you can see into another contender’s room. It is in fact one-way glass, meaning that someone else can see you through the other wall. Go ahead, take a look. Accept for you, Bluejay. I suggest you don’t move at all. Nothing is sacred while you are playing this game, remember that.

Don’t think it’s over when you have completed your task though. All that will happen after it is finished is that you will be granted access to the main room, and given a key. In the middle of the main room is a trap door, which leads to your escape. The only problem is that you’ll need those keys you received to unlock it, one for every person alive. Let me clarify that. If you do not have the same number of keys in the trap door as there are people still alive in the game by the end of the time limit, then it will not open, in fact it will be permanently locked. If there is no way to escape your room, then you are as good as dead and will be treated in the same regard. You have exactly one hour. Let the games begin.â€

Katie found it extremely hard to take in what she had just heard. Was this some kind of sick joke? If it were real, then what kind of crazy freak would do this to her? And more importantly, why? Katie’s hands had started to swell up. So many questions ran through her head, “Were the electric fences really lethal now?†“If the man on the speaker really was telling the truth, who was watching her through the glass?†“How many other people were in this so called ‘game’?†There was one however, which immediately rose to the top of the questions she wanted answering: “Will I get out of here alive?â€

Fortunately, this is one question that could be answered, but only by herself.

This tape the man spoke of, she needed to find it. She looked around on the floor for it, which is where she found four panels with keyholes in them, along with six keys next to them. One of the panels didn’t have a keyhole on it, so she decided to open it. Inside was a cassette player with the tape already inside it. She sat down, braced herself, hit the play button and heard the same deep and mysterious voice again.

“Hello Katie, let me ask you this. How lucky do you consider yourself to be? Enough to gamble with your own life? After all that time you spent in the casino rather than with your loving family, I would have thought you would have at least a rough idea. Well now you don’t have a say in the matter. You must have noticed the other three panels on the floor. There are six keys next to them, all of them will fit, but only three of them will unlock the panel. You don’t have any second chances either; once you put a key in a hole, it will be locked into place and become unable to be removed. One of these panels contains the key to the door over there, and it will also work on the trap door in the main room, the others however, contain something slightly less enjoyable than safety. I do hope you are as lucky as you assure yourself you are every time you set foot in a casino Katie, because currently, the odds on your survival are not something I would bet on.â€

The room become silent once again. Katie looked at the floor where the panels were, and then back at the tape.

“What the fuck?â€

She grabbed the keys and walked over to the door, she tried to use them, but they wouldn’t fit. As she moved back towards the panels, the reality of the situation set in. This was about as real as things come, and she wasn’t going to wake up and shudder at the horrible nightmare she had just had. The searing pain returned. Yet again, Katie fell to her knees clutching her face. This time though, it didn’t go away. She tried to concentrate, and managed to put one of the keys in a hole. She twisted it … nothing happened. She attempted to pull the key back out, but it was stuck. Five more keys, and two more keyholes. Katie hoped for the best as she randomly grabbed another key and shoved it in the next hole. The pain was becoming almost unbearable now, but she managed to ignore it as she twisted the second key, which opened the panel. Inside were two flaps making it impossible to see inside. She reached in, and breathed a sigh of relief when she felt a key at the bottom of it. She pulled, but it was stuck; attached to something. She pulled again, this time harder, but it was no good. Her hand started aching again from the electric shock, and her adrenalin started to kick in. She yanked it a third and final time, and this time, something gave way. She heard a click, then a buzzing sound, and finally felt an enormous blow of air on her hand. Katie screamed in agony as the rotating blade cut her hand off, and she pulled it out of the hatch, blood gushing everywhere. She ran to the door and started smashing it with the hand that was still intact, and shouted for help despite knowing no one could hear her. For a final time, Katie fell to her knees, her hand fractured from hitting the door too hard, her screams slowly turning into sobs. She crawled into a ball on the floor, crying from the pain and thinking of her family, and how she would never see them again.

RE Saw Chapter Two

Destiny Blade started to breathe heavily. What the hell was the voice on the speaker talking about? This couldn’t be happening, not to him. He looked through into the next room to see a woman chained to a wall. He ignored her; he was only concerned about himself. He looked down, and his neck began to feel tight. He felt around it. There was some sort of metal ring on it. What was this?

Just like the voice had said, Destiny Blade found a cassette player on the floor. He cautiously walked over to it, as if it were some kind of untamed animal. He bent over to inspect it but before he even began to think about picking it up, he threw up all over it.

“Oh shitâ€

He wiped away some of the mess and picked up the now foul smelling cassette player.

“Hello, Destiny Blade. Right now you’re probably wondering what you’ve done to deserve this. Well I’ll tell you. You like to tell people what to do, to boss them around. You like to outright control someone else’s life. Now please enlighten me, why do you deserve to control more than one life? You don’t seem special to me. But perhaps you do deserve it, perhaps you have a stronger will than most people. While I doubt this is true, I have allowed you to prove to me that you are worthy. From now on, you control the fate of two people; yourself, and Dukkadukka over there. Yes, the woman chained to the wall with the device attached to her head. Somewhere in her room is a key that will remove her head trap, as well as open her door. If she escapes, Destiny Blade, then you will be presented with a key to remove the device from your neck and open your door. Isn’t it a shame that her device also covers her eyes? In the corner of your room is a walkie-talkie. This is linked directly into her head contraption and can be used to communicate with her, and instruct her where to find the key. However, three minutes after you press the button to start talking, your device will contract, breaking your neck. I’ll tell you now Destiny Blade, that this cassette player’s pause button is broken. This tape also contains Dukkadukka’s message, so I suggest you put this up to the walkie-talkie right about now and let her listen.â€

Destiny Blade span around and ran to the corner of the room, where, sure enough, he found a walkie-talkie. He pressed the button to talk and shoved the cassette player up to it.

“Hello Dukkadukka, I hope you’re enjoying the irony of this, for you used to fake blindness in order to benefit yourself, and now you find yourself unable to see. Don’t worry, you are not truly blind, you merely have a device around your head blocking your sight.â€

“What? Who is this? Who’s there?â€

“You already have less than three minutes to find the key to your freedom, you can thank your new friend Destiny Blade for starting the timer. Don’t worry though; he’s going to help you by guiding you to the key. About that contraption on your head: if you do not unlock it using the key before the time limit runs out, it will tighten until it crushes your skull. Considering you only have about two minutes and twenty seconds left to find that key now, I’ll release you from your chains and leave you be. Just one more thing Dukkadukka; you might want to watch your step, or at least, let your friend watch it for you.â€

Destiny Blade observed Dukkadukka as she was released from her chains, but didn’t move. His eyes now shifted towards the floor of her room, and an overall feeling of disgust came over him. He put his hands over his mouth as his jaw dropped in repulsion.

“Dukkadukka, don’t fucking move.â€

“What’s going on? Where am I?â€

â€I don’t know exactly, but I know this is no game we’re playing.â€

“The floor … it’s so cold. Why would whoever did this take off my shoes?â€

“Believe me, you don’t want to know.â€

“What do you mean?â€

The cassette player started making a cracking sound. The voice came back on.

“Two minutes left, better hurry up.â€

“Jesus I think this is serious, I’ll have to get that key.â€

“NO, DON’T MOVE!â€

It was too late. Dukkadukka had taken a step forward. She screamed and fell back into the wall. Unfortunately, the nail she had just stepped on was just one of the hundreds protruding from the ground, separating her from the key

“What the FUCK was that?â€

“It was a fucking nail. There are hundreds of them; if we’re going to get that key then we’re going to have to work together. Just … don’t step anywhere unless I tell you to.â€

“Piss off, I’m not moving anywhere.â€

“Listen. Frankly, in any other situation I wouldn’t give a shit if you died or not. But by doing this, you’re ending my life as well.â€

“What?â€

“If you die, I die, simple as that. That freaky voice told me so, and he’s been right about everything else so far.â€

“Bullshit. You’re bluffing.â€

“Why the FUCK would I be bluffing about this? You’re going to have to get that key, no matter how much it hurts you.â€

“One minute and thirty seconds remaining, I hope you’re close.â€

“Shit shit shit. We don’t have time for this. You’re going to have to try and jump to the other side.â€

“You’re kiddingâ€

“DO I FUCKING SOUND LIKE I’M KIDDING?â€

“Well where the fuck do I jump to then?â€

“Just turn a little to your left, yeah, like that. Now jump as far as you can.â€

Dukkadukka started swinging her arms to gain some momentum. She clenched her fists, and jumped as far as she could. It wasn’t far enough. Both her feet landed on several nails. She pulled one foot back, ripping the skin even more, which made her lose her balance and fall. Her back was pierced and a river of blood spilled out onto the floor.

“Shit, oh shit. Fucking hell. The key, it’s right in front of you, just get it and this can all be over. Everything will be all right, come on. “

“One minute left, you better hope for a miracle.â€

Dukkadukka slowly turned back onto her knees and started searching around for the key on the floor.

“No, to your left a bit, left.â€

â€Ughn, shit. We’re going to die.â€

“No we’re not, just a little to yo … a little to …â€

The device on Destiny Blade’s neck began to tighten. He was finding it hard to breath.

“Fuck, where is it?â€

Dukkadukka was now frantically moving around trying to find the key, repeatedly puncturing her hands on the seemingly endless amount of nails, screaming her head off.

They weren’t going to make it, Destiny Blade knew that now. He gazed at Dukkadukka, who was now attempting to pull the trap off her head. He could tell it must have been tightening for her, too. Destiny Blade’s whole life flashed before his eyes. He had done a lot of bad things in his time, but did he deserve this?

“Time’s upâ€

Dukkadukka’s head caved in on itself as the device got smaller and smaller. Blood stained the floor, and she lay there, motionless.

Destiny Blade stood up, and looked at himself in the mirror. He felt around his neck.

“Sorry... Dukkadukka.â€

SNAP.

“Hello Sarka, all your life you have taken more than you have deserved. Did it make you feel like a big man when you sacked all those employees of yours so you could hire illegal immigrants and make more money? Do you feel that the more money you have, the more important you are? There is wire hanging from the roof in front of you, and on the end of it is a key. Use it to escape, but don’t let your greed get the better of you.â€

Sarka moved towards the key, and looked at the roof it was hanging from. He pulled the key off, and pocketed it. Just then, another key fell down on a wire in front of him. He went over to grab it, but then stopped.

“Oh no, I’m not falling for that one.â€

He unlocked his door, and stepped into a large circular room, with many doors that he figured leaded to other rooms like his.

“Hello? Can anybody hear me?â€

“…â€

“I guess not.â€

RE Saw Chapter Three

EEVILMURRAY slumped against the wall, grunting. He had already planned his revenge against the person who did this to him, and he knew just the person to carry it out for him. All he cared about at this moment was getting a smoke. He reached inside his jacket pocket; perhaps he still had a pack left. There were no cigarettes to be found, but he did find a cassette player. Intrigued, but at the same time not caring at all, he pressed the play button.

“Hello EEVILMURRAY, I want to play a game. I’m sure being a casino owner you’re familiar with playing games. The only difference between us is there is a way to win the ones I create. For years you have been cheating people out of their money, and now, to win my game, you’re going to have to cheat someone out of their life. In your other pocket is a handgun loaded with one bullet, and a key. The key will open the door to the main room, but will not work on the trap door. It does have another use, but not one I wish to disclose to you. Use your gun to obtain your own key. Happy hunting.â€

This was all quite surreal to EEVILMURRAY, but if killing someone was what needed to be done to allow his escape, then so be it.

He stepped out into a large circular room, which was a nice change from the previous cramped one. In the middle was a trap door, and next to it a man sitting down.

“Hey, you a ‘contestant’ too?â€

Sarka turned round and looked EEVILMURRAY in the eyes.

“Uh, yeah, apparently. I just woke up here, well not here, in that room over there. The names Sarka. Hey, have we met before? Your face seems familiar.â€

“Enough about you, I’m EEVILMURRAY. Anyone else around?â€

“What? Err, no, I don’t think so.â€

“You’ve got a key to this trap door, right?â€

“Well, yeah.â€

“Good.â€

EEVILMURRAY turned his back to Sarka and started to pull his gun out from his pocket, but then heard a door open. He quickly stashed the gun back into hiding and turned around to face the direction the sound came from, where a man in a suit was now standing, staring at him.

“You. Why didn’t you have to do anything to get out of your room?â€

Sarka now turned to also face the mysterious man, “What, me?â€

“No. He’s talking about me. So you were the one who could see into my room? Interesting. What’s your name?â€

“My name? The Twilighter. And you are?â€

“EEVILMURRAY.â€

Something in Sarka’s mind clicked, but The Twilighter said it before he could.

“Wait, aren’t you that guy who owns the casino being inspected for fraud? I read about you in the paper. What’s your casino called? Shamma? Sobba?â€

EEVILMURRAY whipped out his gun and shot The Twilighter right between the eyes.

“Shabba.â€

“You just shot him. Oh my god, you just shot him.â€

“He deserved it.â€

Sarka was stunned. What he had just seen kept replaying in his head over and over. EEVILMURRAY walked up to the corpse he had just made, and started searching its clothes.

“Come on, key, key where are you?â€

He felt an object, but it wasn’t a key.

“Hmm. Sarka was it? You know how to use one of these?â€

EEVILMURRAY held up the lock pick he had just acquired, but received no response from Sarka.

“Useless. You know if you didn’t act so shocked after seeing a little violence then you might actually stand a chance of getting out of here alive.â€

“A… A little violence? You killed the man!â€

“He was getting on my nerves. Shit. Maybe he left his key in his room.â€

EEVILMURRAY entered the room next to his; it looked identical, except there was a thin slab of concrete seemingly removed from the ground, and under where it would have been, a grate. He picked up the cassette player lying on the floor.

“Greetings The Twilighter. How many people have you killed for a price now? I’ve lost count since I first started watching you. In your ‘profession’ you need a lot of concentration to be successful. Let’s put that to the test. There is a loose slab of concrete in the middle of your room, and under it is a grate. At the bottom of this grate is your key, but it’s too far away for you to reach. There should be a small metal pole with a hook at the end of it lying on the floor. I suggest you use this to grab the key. One thing you may need to worry about though, is the five hundred volts of electricity running through all the bars in the way of the it.â€

“Son of a bitch. He must have picked the lock and just ignored the trap.â€

Sarka watched as EEVILMURRAY walked back into the large room, gun in hand. EEVILMURRAY knew that he had no bullets remaining, but Sarka didn’t know that. He pointed the gun at Sarka’s head.

“I’m going to need your help.â€

“What?â€

“Your help. I’m going to need it.â€

They entered The Twilighter’s room, Sarka closely followed by EEVILMURRAY with the gun held up to his back. EEVILMURRAY handed Sarka the metal pole, still holding his gun up to him.

“Get the key and I won’t kill you.â€

“Why can’t you get it?â€

“The bars are electrified.â€

“What?â€

“Just do it.â€

Sarka knelt down with the pole in his hands. He rotated it and slowly lowered it into the grate. Sweat was pouring of his face. He steadily turned the pole, navigating around one of the bars. One by one, he gradually made his way past the many hazards, to the bottom of the grate. He hooked the key onto the end of the pole and started to pull it up. His hands were shaking like there was no tomorrow, but he never touched a bar with the pole, not once. Triumph. Sarka grabbed the key and thanked the lord, despite being an atheist.

“I did it. I actually did it.â€

“Ok, hand it over.â€

Sarka reached out to give it to EEVILMURRAY, but because of the large amount of sweat on his hands, it slipped out and fell right back into the grate.

“Oh no no no.â€

“You IDIOT! What the hell is wrong with you?â€

“I don’t know, I mean, I was nervous and sweating and…â€

“Well try not being nervous!â€

“Maybe I wouldn’t be if there wasn’t a gun pointed at my face!â€

EEVILMURRAY pulled the gun away from Sarka’s head, and then sent it back at full speed, knocking him out.

He grabbed the pole from Sarka’s hand and lowered it into the grate. He turned it, past the first bar and then-

“ARRRRGHâ€

His muscles tightened. The pain was unbelievable, yet he couldn’t move. He was stuck. EEVILMURRAY felt sick. Not because of the pain, or because he knew he was going to die. He felt sick because he knew he would never be able to get his revenge.

RE Saw Chapter Four

JonSt woke up, his arm aching from lying on it. This wasn’t his bedroom.

“What the, where am I?â€

“Looks like you finally came to. You missed the ‘announcement’. Athriller says it’s some serial killer who likes to call himself Jigsaw.â€

“Who are you? How’d you know that?â€

“I’m Lazyboy, and he’s Athriller.â€

“Well how’d you know that it’s this Jigsaw guy then?â€

Athriller turned towards JonSt to reveal a black eye.

“I saw it on the news. He traps his victims in secluded rooms and finds ways for them to kill each other.â€

“Well what the hell are we doing just sitting here then? We’ve got to escape!â€

JonSt gets up and tries to move forward, but falls over. He looks back to see a chain holding him back.

“That’s why. We’ve all got one. We tried shouting for help but no one can hear us; all we can do is wait.â€

“What’s with the TV?â€

There was a TV in the middle of the three people, sitting on a wooden stand.

“Hey, I can’t see the screen, what’s on it?â€

“Calm down… what was your name?â€

“JonSt.â€

“Well JonSt, there’s nothing on the TV. Not yet.â€

“Oh my god.â€

JonSt was now looking into the next room, where a body was lying on the floor.

“Yeah, we aren’t the only people in here. Just be glad you weren’t awake to see what happened to him.â€

“What do you mean?â€

Athriller had an idea. He started looking for his cell phone, but instead came across a key.

“Hey, I found a key.â€

“What? Where?â€

“Right here in my pocket.â€

“Well what’s it for?â€

Athriller tried to force it into the keyhole in his chain, but it didn’t fit.

“Obviously not these chains.â€

â€I’ve got one too!â€

Both JonSt and Athriller looked over at Lazyboy as he unlocked the chain around his foot.

“Yours works?â€

“Yeah.â€

“Chuck it over here.â€

“It won’t come out.â€

â€What?â€

“It’s stuck in the keyhole.â€

The small light on the TV turned from red to green, and a laugh could be heard. Not a real laugh, it sounded like one of those silly ones from a child’s toy. A white face with red swirls for cheeks flickered onto the screen, and turned its head to look at Athriller. It was a puppet. Its mouth opened, and the same voice that they heard on the speaker started to talk

“Hello Athriller, Lazyboy, JonSt. I hope you’ve gotten properly acquainted with each other, because your situation will require teamwork. Lazyboy, you neglect your own daughter. What did she do to justify this? Are you willing to neglect the other two people in this room to save your own life? We’ll see. JonSt, you do not treat people of a different race to your own with respect. Will you be able to negotiate with two Asians and explain to them why you deserve to live more than them? Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you, Athriller. You lead a double life; in one you are a respectable accountant who has a wife and kids, but in the other, you are a grifter, a conman, or as I put it, a contemptible excuse for a human being. Will you be able to con JonSt and Lazyboy out of their lives? All three of you have a key, each with different uses. One of the keys fits into the trap door, one of them opens the door to the main room, and the other will unlock your chains. Be careful though, the key to your chains will become stuck after it is used, so I hope you all have convincing arguments as to who gets to utilise it. Only one of you is allowed to leave this room; if more than one attempts to, then you will all die. Good luck.â€

The screen turns off and the room falls into complete silence.

“You… bastard.â€

“Well how was I meant to know that we could only use it once?â€

“No, this isn’t good enough, we’re going to die and you’re going to live because you were too stupid to think about the consequences of doing something before you did it.â€

“Guys, you’ve got to give me your keys so I don’t die as well.â€

“Why should we? You essentially killed us, I’d like to do the same to you.â€

“This isn’t my fault, it’s Jigsaw’s. He’s the one who put us here, not me.â€

Dabookerman watched the three men argue over their lives. He rewound the cassette and played it again.

“Hello, Dabookerman. Religion is a powerful thing; it can change the way you think and act, but that’s not always a good thing. However strong your beliefs are, they don’t give your life a purpose. Just because another man doesn’t believe in the same things you do, doesn’t give you a right to kill him. Since you love your religion so much, I’ve decided to let you play God. In the next room are three people, but only one of them is allowed to escape. You may have a key to the trap door, but it will not open the door to the main room. The only way to open that door is to press the button on the controller in your pocket. When pressed, the door in the room you’re looking into will lock forever, and escape will become impossible for all those who are still inside. The button will only become active once one person has left the room. If you do not press it, then this room will become your tomb.â€

“No, there’s no way I’m giving him my key.â€

“The video said that if more than one of us attempts to leave the room, then we’ll all die. That means there has got to be a way for us to get these chains off.â€

“You’re not making any sense Lazyboy.â€

“Yes I am, listen to me for a second. Give me your keys and I’ll go outside and get some help. I won’t be gone for more than a minute. I will get you guys out of here, I promise.â€

For a few seconds, not a sound could be heard.

“Alright, fine, you get the key to the door, but we’ll keep the other one until you come back, that way you can’t do a runner.â€

“Deal.â€

Lazyboy took the key and unlocked the door. He stepped outside into a circular room.

“Hmmâ€

He took another step, but he couldn’t see anyone else.

SLAM.

The door behind him shut, and at that very moment another one opened. A man stepped out. Lazyboy started thumping against the door with his body, trying to break it down. It wasn’t budging. Nothing could be done to save them now.

“No…â€

RE Saw Chapter Five

Bluejay couldn’t open his eyes. He couldn’t move his arms, legs, or anything for that matter. He was awake, but he couldn’t do anything. What was going on? Out of nowhere, he heard a deep and chilling voice.

“Hello Bluejay. For the majority of your life you’ve sat on the couch next to the TV, watching as the minutes, hours and even days pass by. Now you’re going to have to do the very same to escape. You can’t see it, but right now there is a shotgun pointed at your face. There are wires coming off of every part of your body, connecting to the trigger. If you move even an inch, the gun will go off, as well as your head. I’m a fair man, so I gave you a high dose of Suxamethonium chloride to paralyse you so that you wouldn’t budge until I enlightened you on your predicament. Don’t worry; the affects will wear off soon. In forty-five minutes, starting from when this message ends, the wires will become inactive without any indication, allowing you to escape. In forty-six minutes however, the gun will go off automatically, leaving you with a one minute margin to make your move. If all this isn’t too much for your brain to comprehend, then I suggest you start counting.â€

Konfucius rode along the street on his bicycle, the air hitting his face as he peddled faster and faster. He could only see one person: a little girl lying on the ground. He hit the breaks as he approached her, and got off his bike.

“Are you ok?â€

“I can’t find my Mummy.â€

Konfucius looked around, this time he could see a tall woman in the distance, obviously looking for something.

“Come with me, I’ll take you to her.â€

He tried to reach out to grab her hand, but nothing happened. He looked at his shoulders; his arms were missing.

“You’ve got to follow me, come on.â€

“I’m scared.â€

The ground began to shake. There was a crack in the ground, and it started to get bigger; it was separating Konfucius from the little girl. He started to panic.

“You have to come with me, I can take you to your Mummy.â€

“Help me.â€

“I... I can’tâ€

Konfucius separated himself from his slumber and looked at the floor beneath him. He was hanging at the top of a small room, his head fitted into a metal contraption attached to the wall. His feet were also immobile, but he couldn’t see if it was the same sort of device holding him back. On the floor was a TV, positioned so that he could clearly see it. His arms were tied behind his back, and in his left hand was some sort of object with a button on it. Without thinking about it, he pressed the button. He felt a slight jolt, and then he began his descent. He heard a buzzing noise. A white face appeared on the TV, grinning.

“Well hello there, Konfucius. A few weeks ago your career in thievery took quite a turn. Usually you prey on the weak and defenceless, but the target you had chosen this time turned out to not be quite as fragile as you had originally suspected. She wouldn’t give you her money, would she? This was no good to you. You weren’t going to let all your careful planning go to waste. You shot her. You killed the only person that had the guts to stand up to you. And then you took her purse. You’re a very low man, Konfucius. When you pressed the button in your hands you triggered what could be seen as a metaphor of your life: slowly going downhill until your inevitable corruption. Although you can’t see it, you will be able to hear the large circular saw you’re being lowered into, which at the rate you’re currently dropping, will make first contact with your flesh in around four minutes. Like you offer your victims however, I am giving you a choice. You can either refuse to cooperate and die a slow and agonizing death, or you can pay me to let you go free. But the currency isn’t money, oh no. It’s pain. The key to the chain keeping your arms behind your back and the device holding your head and feet in place is above you. All you have to do to be able to reach it is press the button in your hands again. Be warned though, that isn’t the only thing it will do. Live or die, make your choice.â€

The TV, which had previously lit up the room, shut off. Konfucius tried to break the chains holding his hands behind his back, but they were too strong. The ground was getting closer and closer. He wanted to ponder on what pressing the button again would do, but he didn’t have time for that. He pushed it. His head started to move up the wall, but his feet stayed where they were. Soon he was at an angle to the ground, but he didn’t stop moving up. He could now see directly in front of himself, as if he were on stilts. While his head was moving up, he heard another voice, different to the one from the TV.

“This is detective Millers of the police. Can you hear this? There’s no sound output so you’ll have to indicate by waving your arms.â€

Konfucius realised that there must be other people here, as the detective obviously wasn’t talking to him.

“We’re trying to locate the source of these cameras. Stay put and don’t do anything stupid.â€

He felt the key hit his hands. He dropped the control and grabbed it, and was now trying to fit it into the lock. His head was now moving towards his feet, and he started to get pains in his back.

“Oh God...â€

He heard several cracking sounds, all coming from his own body. He unlocked his chains and started fumbling around trying to find the keyhole in his head device.

“ARGHHHâ€

Konfucius screamed as his back broke, but he didn’t let that deter him from freeing his head from the wall. Because his feet were still locked into place, he swung down and hit his head on the floor, knocking him out.

Konfucius awoke to the sight of blood as the circular saw ripped through his skin and into his vital organs. He was drooling blood now, and was feeling drowsy. He still had an excruciating pain in his back. As he lay there, he couldn’t help but wish that he could go back into the dream he was previously in.
