Hero-of-Time Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 What a send off for the Wii this would be if it actually gets a release over here. Nintendo of Europe has been publishing Level-5′s soccer RPG series, Inazuma Eleven, in PAL territories. So far, only the Nintendo DS games are available, but it looks like the Wii game Inazuma Eleven Strikers is in the cards. Level-5 filed a trademark for Inazuma Eleven Strikers in Europe last week, a good sign that a publisher (most likely Nintendo of Europe) have signed on to create an English localized version. While the games are more or less the same, the European versions have different names for the characters like Mark Evans instead of Endou Mamoru and Shawn Frost instead of Shiro Fubuki. That actually makes sense since the kanji used for "Fubuki" is also used for blizzard. Here's a video of the japanese version, just to show you guys what it looks like.
-Dem0- Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Would be nice, although I'd prefer the handheld iterations over this any day.
daftada Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 That video has definitely got me interested, would be great to see it released here. I loved the DS one.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 That video has definitely got me interested, would be great to see it released here. I loved the DS one. Indeed. I've only played the first DS game and I really enjoyed it. I really should get around to buying and playing the second one. I like the look of this more than the DS versions purely because it reminds me of Sega Soccer Slam and the Mario Strikers games. I'm not a huge fan of the Fifa/Pro Evo games but I love some cartoony football action, so this really appeals to me.
Hamishmash Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I liked the DS version but found the actual matches kind of dull and the loading times between the 3D sections bugged me a lot. I think this looks pretty good. EDIT: Does this even have the RPG section?
Hero-of-Time Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 EDIT: Does this even have the RPG section? Not sure. I know it has a story mode, but this may just consist of playing matches, rather than running around the school.
dazzybee Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Am I the only one who thinks it looks incredibly slow and cumbersome?! Think it looks awful. I like the style but cartoony footy games need to be way more exciting than that!
darksnowman Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Looks pretty cool. Bring on the Japanese games and long live the Wii! Is that just a generic Jap voice or did the goalie sound like Naruto...?
nekunando Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Am I the only one who thinks it looks incredibly slow and cumbersome?! You're definitely not the only one; it looks like the game is in slow motion It certainly doesn't look as intense or exciting as Mario Strikers: Charged Football..
Hero-of-Time Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Its coming! Level 5's anime soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven is coming to Wii on 28th September. Released last year in Japan as Inazuma Eleven Strikers, this is the first game in the series for consoles.
K-project Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Am I the only one who thinks it looks incredibly slow and cumbersome?! Think it looks awful. I like the style but cartoony footy games need to be way more exciting than that! I thought it was my media player! It looks a bit slow and lacking in gameplay to me, but I'll keep one eye on it in case it turns out well. I've never played this series before.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 Just a heads up as Shopto have lowered the price to £23. It's out this Friday and I look forward to giving it a blast over the weekend.
