madeinbeats
Near as I can tell, for the most part, games developers for Wii U ground up will be 1080p. Ports from 360/PS3 games won't be I wouldn't count on it. So far the only games officially confirmed as full 1080p are Scribblenauts and Toki Tori 2 (2D games); add to that Nintendo has officially confirmed all their launch window games will output at 720p, along with Mass Effect 3 being another. Nothing else has been officially confirmed one way or the other. Going from 720p to 1080p puts a massive hit on system resources, resources that devs might think better spent on more graphical effects on screen. A lot of people think it will be the case for the next PS/XB too - 1080p, or more shit going on on-screen. All remains to be seen.

Zechs Merquise
No P90? That's a disgrace. Not only is there no P90, but they've also made the ghost perk totally useless. I'm not happy about the nerfing of ghost, I think it will make things more difficult for genuine snipers as it only conceals you when you're moving. I think the best looking perks are (1 from each tier) 1) Blind Eye — Unaffected by AI-controlled perks. (with flak jacket a close second) 2) Cold-blooded — Resistance to targeting systems including Dual Band, Target Finder, Sensor Grenades and player-controlled aircraft. 3) Engineer — Show enemy equipment in the world, delay explosives and re-roll and booby trap care packages. Those three combined in that way should allow you to avoid all the new types of kill streak rewards, sensors, the new types of scopes which allow the player to see through cover and of course you get to avoid enemy booby traps. With 7 very powerful AI controlled streak rewards I can see Blind Eye being far more useful than ever before.
lostmario
No AUG... gutted My 3 perks probably: Perk 1 Ghost — Cannot be detected by enemy UAVs while moving. Perk 2 Hard-wired — Immune to counter-UAV and enemy EMPs. Perk 3 Dead Silence — Move silently. I hate hearing my character move, very distracting. dazzybee
I've never been so excited about a cod as this on the wii u, and I have no rational reason for that other than it combining new hardware launch hype... Though tablet play also adds. For people who only play handhelds at home, this is also like having the most powerful handheld in history too
-Dem0-
Whenever I play COD, I tend to favor classes that focus on being as 'stealthy' as possible, like the example lostmario used above. I also liked using the M16 with a suppressor & ACOG scope, but that won't happen this time round. So I might go with a Type 25 or a SIG/AN-94. david.dakota
Not all wii u games will do it either. Well they should f*cking mandate it. I bet 505 games will release a 480piece of shite.
Kav
As always I'll use plenty of different classes dependent on the game type, map we're on and what mood I'm in etc. but I can see me setting up something like this: TDM: Primary Weapon (Assault Rifle) - Quickdraw, Fast Mag & Suppressor Primary Gunfighter Perk 3 Greed Perk 1: Hardline Perk 2: Scavenger Perk 3: Dead Silence & Awareness Point-streak: UAV, Stealth Choper/Orbital VSAT, Canine Unit (may swap out Stealth Chopper for something else). Domination/Demolition: Primary Weapon - Millimetre Scanner & FMJ Semtex Tactical Insertion Perk 2 Greed Perk 1: Flak Jacket Perk 2: Scavenger & Toughness Perk 3: Tactical Mask Point-streak: UAV, Guardian, Orbital VSAT (may swap out Guardian for higher streak reward). CTF: Primary Weapon (SMG) - Laser Sight Tactical Insertion Perk 1 Greed Perk 3 Greed Perk 1: Lightweight & Ghost Perk 2: Cold Blooded Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning & Dexterity Point-streak: UAV Apparently the Laser Sight enhances hipfire spread with a much greater effect when compared with previous CoD games and is being touted as one of the best attachments, so if it remains like this the Laser Sight will be one you may want to have. I'll be using a proper gaming headset with my Wii U so I'll be a bit of a sound-whore hence my picking the two Perk 3 perks on my TDM class. Will have to look into it. Yeah, I don't that'll really be good enough, 120ms ping is pretty bad. I would say you really need to think about upgrading to get the most of online gaming. As for the set-ups people are posting - good choices. Remember though - this time anything that affects the performance of a gun is dealt with as a weapon attachment. For example laser sight gives you what was previously the steady aim perk and what was the quick draw perk is dealt with as the a type of grip (simply called quick draw in the list I posted). You automatically get two attachments - but can equip a third (although the privilege will cost you cost you not one but TWO of your remaining equipment slots, you have 10 in total). So a primary weapon with 3 attachments would take 5 slots using half of your allocation. But despite the large cost of taking a gun with three attachments you do get the following combinations from it which seem very powerful: - Primary weapon, quick draw, steady aim, suppressor - Primary weapon, quick draw, steady aim, fast mags (quick reload) Those two set ups alone are incredibly powerful. I do think people are underplaying the importance of cold blooded though - just think how many people are going to use the scopes that identify targets and allow you to see through cover! I will definitely be using engineer as seeing and being immune to enemy explosives as well as being able to re-roll a care package is awesome. Due to the 22 streak rewards I think care packages will be the order of the day at the beginning as I'll want to try out the different streaks on the cheap! Jamba
Just done mine Ping - 44ms Download - 9.26 Upload - 0.80 How accurate is the test?! Fairly accurate as long as you have set it to a local host server. If you are getting measurements over 30Mbps then yes the data won't be accurate but that's pretty much no one. Bear in mind that this won't take into account several things such as: Load on multiplayer server Load on Nintendo's servers (sure they will be involved somehow with authentication) Connection distance to both of the above Varying contention on your ISP during different times of the day Doesn't really take into account simultaneous up and down No idea how many simultaneous connections will be kept open for the Wii U or well/badly it handles traffic. With those stats you'll be good to go! Connections should be much more stable on the Wii U than they were on the Wii due to the massively improved amount of RAM. madeinbeats
speedtest.net have a Wii version of the test if you goto it in the Wii browser. I know I get a totally different results testing from my Wii and PC. Don't know if it's to do with the Wii hardware or the wireless connection.
