Grazza Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Just a bit of fun, but I love this stuff. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1357987/Has-Bownessie-caught-camera-couples-close-encounter-car-long-beast-Lake-Windermere.html
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 "out of this world" Surely if it's real it's not out of this world?
MoogleViper Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Emerging from the mist with oily black skin and three eerie humps, this picture reveals a mystical looking beast gliding through the lake. Either my maths skills are terrible or that picture shows 4 humps. Unless only three of them are eerie, and the other is perfectly normal.
Ganepark32 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Journalism fail, but what do you expect it is the Daily Mail afterall. It's not called Lake Windemere. It's just called Windemere as it's a Mere, not a lake. There's only one lake in the lake district and it's Bassenthwaite.
The Peeps Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Monster hunter Thomas Noblett and TV psychic Dean Maynard said this new sighting has fired up their enthusiasm for another search. The pair have twice scoured the lake with sonar equipment looking for Bownessie, but to no avail. 'We're convinced there's something down there and were going to get straight back out on the water,' said Mr Maynard. Dean Maynard is my stepmum's brother, he texted her yesterday about this lol. Her family are so embarrassed by him it's funny.

Shorty Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 A mere is a type of lake. Therefore Lake Windermere isn't incorrect, it's just tautology, like ATM machine. Who the heck says ATM machine? I think you were fishing for PIN number.

Unless only three of them are eerie, and the other is perfectly normal. I thought that myself, but I figured they believe one of the lumps to be the head, meaning it has three actual humps.
ReZourceman Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Shit someone caught me skinny dipping. Why do you resemble....that. :p
Jimbob Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Sigh. Another "believeable" report from the Daily Fail (sorry, Mail). How is it that no-one can deliver clear pictures of reported sightings, with all this modern tech.
david.dakota Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Why do you resemble....that. :p I hear he does, but only in cold water.
