Hamishmash Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I would be annoyed that Janelle Monae didn't get anything (and that she had to perform with Bruno Mars and B.o.B. - yuck) if I genuinely gave a toss about award show results. Arcade Fire though deserve it
Mundi Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Baba Yetu winning was pretty damn great, it's the most memorable thing about CIV 4 for me.
mcj metroid Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 How do people watch this stuff ? Especially live! The academy awards is just as bad mind you.
Paj! Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 ^ The Oscars are more credible than the Grammys. They equate the Grammys as the musical oscars, but it's just ridiculous. Some deserving choices, some stupid ones. It's effectively popularity winning out in most cases. Not QUITE as atrocious as the Brit awards, but not far off.
Ramar Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 How did Iron Maiden win best metal or what ever it was, their new album is poor, thats coming from a fan.
jayseven Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I was watching the BAFTAs last night - much better than the farce that the Oscars have become.
