Happenstance Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I dont think they could have done it any other way really. WWII provides an excellent origin for Captain America and a nice contrast from what he used to fight into what he will with the Avengers. Also they need to establish exactly why this guy was a hero to so many people and remembered to this day.
Retro_Link Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yep very true, just glad so much has been dedicated to telling his [origin] story. I was a bit worried they might try and shoehorn in quite a bit of The Avengers into the last third or something in order to set that one up. But with the other good news that they are keeping The Avengers cast down to characeters we are already familiar with (bar Hawkeye), they don't have to do that!
Nintendohnut Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Bit of a fail. Looks like that trailer is just made up of others and isn't the actual one. So yeah. Sorry about that.
Happenstance Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I had wondered about that but it was very well done with the teasing shots. Although I did wonder why the super soldier serum looked very modern and in the same container as the virus from Resident Evil.
Retro_Link Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yeah I presumed they'd padded it out with the other films because they've only really been filming for two weeks... I've just realised Blake Lively was in there!... FAIL!! DAMN the search goes on!
LegoMan1031 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 That smallville trailer was ace! Loving the spoilers ive read so far! Although part of me really wants to try to avoid spoilers this time around and just enjoy the episodes with no 4 knowledge!
