Rumor Nintendo Retailer conference this Thursday

From what we've heard, Nintendo isn't going to have their Fall conference. Nintendo's Denise Kaigler pretty much confirmed that for us. So, does that mean Nintendo won't be showing anything off before the year closes out? The latest rumor says they might have something up their sleeves.

Nintendo usually has a retailer event in Japan sometime during October, and word on the street is that this event is going to take place on October 8th. I'm thinking this one is pretty much confirmed, so keep an eye out on Wednesday night for information. Of course, that's saying Nintendo will actually show off new games then!

You don't show new stuff at retailer briefings. They're just to talk to the stores about what you're going to get them to sell over the holiday season. They're just going to be talking about New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Fit Plus, and selling their other 2009 games over the holidays.

Yeah but there might be a Nintendo Fall press confrence in Japan on the same day.

For god's sake canand, there won't be any more Nintendo conference until E3! Just wait a bit, kay?

Ok but Nintendo said they are announceing a new Pokemon Wii game soon so how would they announce it with no press confrence?

By waiting until E3 2010.

But really, what Emasher said. They're just going to advertise Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros Wii. At best, we can probably expect a new trailer or maybe a few tiny titbits of information. But that is all.

In the Kyoto topic.

Some new information Nintendo's monthly retailer briefing appears to be scheduled for next Thursday.

Which about releases dates of games because in last month's retailer briefing, Nintendo announced dates for Sin and Punishment 2 (Wii), Valhalla Nights (Wii), Mario & Sonic 2 (Wii/DS) and Rune Factory 3 (DS).

So it looks like any new media of games or unannounced games conference wouldn't be held this year.

In the neogaf link:

Nintendo's monthly retailer briefing appears to be scheduled for next Thursday (10/08).

Now it's more than safe to say that there will not be a conference this year, this pretty much confirms it. Lametendo is lame.

Looking forward to more info on NSMB Wii and Zelda: ST.

There most likely isn't even going to be more information on them at this thing. The stuff they talk about at retailer events isn't the sort of stuff we (gamers) would be interested in.

Would you be happy if there was a press conference?

I would very much like to know when NINTENDO is finally going to revive some more good ol' franchises!

I mean ....... HOW can they ignore F-ZERO..........or Star Fox for that matter.

You just got to take care of your classics, and NINTENDO has got a LOT o' those :D

I can confirm that companies do not release new information at retail conferences, they simply pump them full of information (or propoganda if you prefer) regarding upcoming releases. In fact there won't even be any new information at all. There really isn't any need for this thread.
