ReZourceman Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Sorted my PC* but now when I scroll down on the internet it does that annoying thing of being slow and loads the screen by wiping down. Anyway to stop this? Its mega annoying. *Formatted a bit I think. Slightly annoying but meh. Actually it appears to only be this site....FB/YT are fine.
Nolan Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Clear your browsers cache. Should just be under Tools-Delete Private Data. Assuming Firefox that is, if you aren't using Firefox or Opera, do so. Clearing the Cache will likely result in you having to re-enter any saved data, like username/password for NE,YT,FB etc.
ReZourceman Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 Cool, I'll do that. Clearing cache didn;t work. Cheers fellas.
Kirkatronics Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Mine used to do it, and i just ended up using 'page down' for a while. Then i updated my graphics drivers and it worked nicely.
ReZourceman Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I don't know which graphics driver I need. Also my sound isn't working and downloading a driver for that hasn't worked.
Mr_Odwin Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Well, you've got to have the right drivers for your hardware. http://www.driverguidetoolkit.com/ This can help you identify your components that need drivers, what they are and what drivers you need.
ReZourceman Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 Hmmm okay, its done it, but now I don't know what to do. .
Mr_Odwin Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The graphics card is Video Controller (VGA Compatible) and the sound card is likely to be the PCI Device. Both need drivers. Click on those items and then look at the device information/recommendations to see what your actual hardware is. Then get the right drivers.
ReZourceman Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Both of them say whats on screen there, those two recommended sites at the bottom. (Well they all do) unless I'm looking at the wrong bit.
ReZourceman Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Sweet, I found the video graphics one. I need to restart to see if its worked. However I still don't know about sound.
Mr_Odwin Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 It's not very informative. You can always try going to microsoft update and updating everything?
ReZourceman Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 *Shrugs* I think I've found it now actually. We will know momentarily. ------- Maybe not. It failed to download. For some reason. I used EVEREST programme to identify I need Field Value Audio Adapter VIA VT8237A/8251 High Definition Audio Controller However I have found the correct driver, but it won't download. It says "We can't find HD audio device" Awww man.
Raining_again Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Haven't you got the driver CDs that came with your computer?
ReZourceman Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Nah, I bought this refurbished, and it didn't come with them. *Whimper*
Mr_Odwin Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 This set of drivers? http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/vinyl_v700b.zip Download it all, unzip it (not just double click into it) then run setup.exe. Or this? http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/HDA_V500b.zip
ReZourceman Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 Unfortunately, same thing. Its saying it can't find HD device. I....don't know....what....I might just.... Ah. I dunno. Thanks anyway dude, I don't think theres anything further anyone can do naw. Megaphailz.
Dyson Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 What video card does your PC have? *can't remember if we've been here before or not*
ReZourceman Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 Its just the sound that isn't working now. (Dunno if thats relevant still) But either way I don't know. Oh erm..>Geforce? Maybe. Dunno.
