Diageo Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Looks like crying Wolf. Shame it couldn't kill a pensioner in MGS4. I remember I just hid under the truck and sniped it
dwarf Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Hehe I tried that and a few other things and eventually realised that I had so many rations that it wouldn't matter if it rofled into me at 100mph. Grenade launcher FTW.
dwarf Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Solid normal actually. There's always loads to hand around... I did complete my no-kill no-alert run on the easiest difficulty though. Invisibility and infinite ammo makes the game so fun! You can just piss around really.
canand Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 (edited) Is this game a Metal Gear Solid 5 or is PW Metal Gear Solid 5? Edited October 7, 2009 by canand
S.C.G Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Is this game a Metal Gear Solid 5 or is PW Metal Gear Solid 5? Neither are, there is no MGS5 because neither star Solid Snake... though having said that, MGS3 starred Naked Snake, who is in MG:PW as Big Boss so... that is more like 'MGS5' in that respect but MGS:R stars Raiden yet it bears the 'Solid' prefix. But yeah, still... there is not MGS5 as such, just spin-offs and semi-sequels.
James McGeachie Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Is this game a Metal Gear Solid 5 or is PW Metal Gear Solid 5? Kojima did state that Peace Walker is the game he'd like to have been MGS5, so it's the closest thing to it. This game is essentially a new franchise I would expect. It probably should just be called "Metal Gear Rising" instead of including Solid in the title, but I guess the full "MGS" name has better selling power.
canand Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 The boxart has appeared on the marketplace. Cool I wonder if the PS3 will be the same image on the box.
dwarf Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Cool I wonder if the PS3 will be the same image on the box. Sources have confirmed a pink feathered flying Raiden to feature in an HD image for the PS3 version.

S.C.G Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Anyone else feel that the boxart is decidedly... 'lacking'? It's as if they have taken a Metal Gear game and have presented it like it's just another average action game... for all we know I guess it still could be but anyway, not really liking the style of it, I prefer the old MGS boxarts.
canand Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Countdown has return. It says 4 Days to go for USA and 3 Days to go for Japan.
Dante Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 I couldn't give a flying fuck about this game. Even if you don't know anything about it?
Ryan Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Exactly. I've long since lost my fandom with Metal Gear Solid games and a spinoff with Raiden is even less interesting to me. In other news, I saw on N4G that the new countdown could be for a director's cut of MGS4.

Ryan Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Yeah It well be becuse why is there chopping images in the countdown if it wosent. Because it's a teaser. I doubt it could be a director's cut edition. So many times Kojima has said he's 100% on Peace Walker, and now presumably he's moved to Rising and Castlevania..
