Its that time of the month again- yes, its time for Capcom to give us Wii owners a swift kick in the bollocks.

Its been two years since Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition became a million seller, clearly showing Wii owners do love adult themed games. Since then we've sang from the rooftops "give us more", "great engine, port us 5" being typical examples.

Capcom have heard us sing. Leon S Kennedy stars in an 'over-the-shoulder' game based off the recent GC film Resident Evil: Degeneration- for iPhone.

Nice work, shit sticks.

My indifference to this is equal to that of my indifference towards Resident Evil 5. That series is seriously disillusioned at the moment and in need of the direction of Mikami. But this particular debate is for another time.

I can't imagine this being better than The Darkside Chronicles. I wouldn't worry about it.

This is as bad as that MGS iPhone game, total wank, on a massive level.

Apple are willing to pay for the game. Maybe if Nintendo were as well we'd have our own true built from the ground up Resi game. But they're not.

I'm pretty sure this is just a port of a game that came out on Japanese mobiles. Especially in the US, cellphones — as they'd call them — simply don't have a comparable level of technology to those in the East so bringing the game to the iPhone is a sensible choice as it's a worldwide standard.

In other words: calm down, dear.

You lost me there, Dave. (Then it being about Resi didn't help either. :heh:)

I'll just kick back now and enjoy the non-adult themed games I have here. :hehe:

Well they still have a few 'mystery titles' to be announced at E3. But to be honest I won't even start trying to convince anyone it's anything Wii-related AND adult-themed. This is Capcom afterall.

I'd rather we not get a game designed for mobile phones on the DS. Its quite obviously crap, and its not taking up development time for other Wii and DS projects because its probably being made by some crap team that's incapable of making anything decent. As much as I'd like to see a new proper Resi game on the Wii, I don't really care about this at all. Its not like Capcom hinted about making a decent game for Nintendo consoles anyway.

Capcom's mobile entertainment division is a separate entity than Capcom gaming division.

Hence, Capcom gaming division can't interfere with them which is why RE4 for mobile phones, or devil may cry never made it to say... DS. It was never in the table or was something simple to happen... because their mobile entertainment division doesn't make games for DS. (as dumb as not porting a re 3D game running on a arm architecture seems)

Plus, the teams involved are completly different, point in question... DMC4 director has spoken against any DMC portable attempt and thus certainly didn't do or colaborate with the mobile phone version... neither did any member of the DMC capcom studio.

Don't pay too much attention to it.

Well, I'm not being biast towards the game just because I'm bitter. It does look OK. When a LITE version comes out for the iPhone I'll give the demo a trial. MGS is pretty cool for a handheld title on the iPhone too. Good for gamers on the go. I don't see the problem. Just because there is money to be made on the platform and the App store is a good way for devs to show off their products there's some complaints. Sure I'd love a Wii game ala Resi 4 and this would have been a great opportunity but I actually think CAPCOM listen to Nintendo fans more than any other devs. Time will tell.

Very well spotted! Nice one! iPhone is a bizarre choice for a gaming system as it's a phone, and over here (in the UK) it's only on O2 which makes it a very limited device, as people on other networks won't upgrade to it and kids won't be able to afford it as it's a contract phone not a pay as you go (you can get it as a pay as you go, but it's massively expensive).

When we say iPhone, we mean iPhone and iPod Touch. The game will play on both. And lots of kids have iPod Touches these days.
