D_prOdigy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Wikipedia is telling me December 2008 for Japan, no source though. Tap Runner looks awesome
Shino Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 1st and 2nd video are the same. Music sounds like Sonic Rush and Jet Set Radio music, which is rather awesome, and reminded me I should listen to Lets Tap more often. Tap runner mode seems to be the most developed and deeper mode and I think it will the crowd favourite, like Wii Play tanks game. I'm still a bit sceptical about the precision of the controls.
Guest Maase Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I would like to see what would happen if we waggled the Wii Mote instead of taping. Huge speed run, probably
Tellyn Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I would like to see what would happen if we waggled the Wii Mote instead of taping.Huge speed run, probably If the Wii Remote moves more than a certain amount, my guess is it just wouldn't move at all.

Retro_Link Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 Extended 5 min trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/43364.html Tap Runner really does look awesome! The Tap Beat game; does it expect you to tap with certain fingers at times, and there are 3 tap hardnesses? surely the game is not gonna recognise any of that properly? Either you could probably get away with doing anything, or it's gonna be impossible because the game will be constsantly misjudging your actions!

I think each one of the lines going across the screen was for one of the four players playing. Think Donkey Konga, with tap strength instead of left, right and clap.

steggy Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 OK can't believe I even asked the question now! Yeah, it's simple when you figure it out, but it didn't really display "1P, 2P etc" so it wasn't exactly obvious to start off with.
Retro_Link Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Famitsu Review: http://www.cubed3.com/news/11290 Let's Tap (Wii - 8,7,8,8 - 31/40) - Enjoyment depends on how much players get into the control scheme, reveals a "new realm" for the Wii. Some reviewers wanted more types of games.
CoolFunkMan Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Sorry about the thread earlier, I looked and I couln't find this one... odd. Anyway, this game does look awesome, and it's easy to see where a lot of Sonic Team's greatness went.
Retro_Link Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 Controls video: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/43853.html Hmm...

Hellfire Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 One week of sales for a low budget game, how can it be said if it bombed or not? Not that it will sell millions though. Anyway, is the game full price?
Dante Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 One week of sales for a low budget game, how can it be said if it bombed or not? Not that it will sell millions though. Anyway, is the game full price? i think so.
Hellfire Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 i think so. Well it was sent to die then. Although they make much more money, so they might have a point. Meh.
Shino Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Just release it in the west and they'll sell more than enough.
triforcemario Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Problem is, they released it the same week that Dissidia Final Fantasy, Tales of Hearts (animé edition) and Gundam Musou 2 were released. A small, niché title like Let's Tap didn't really have much of a chance compared to the big franchises, unfortunately.
Hellfire Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I doubt they were expecting to sell big numbers, it's a small game made by a small team probably in a small time window, even without big games coming out it wouldn't make much of a difference. It would probably sell less over here and taking into account the costs of bringing the game over I doubt they'll do it.
darksnowman Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 The game is coming outta Japan! The Australian Classification Board has rated Let's TAP General, so it's a safe bet that SEGA will bring it to the rest of the world too although there are no dates yet. http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=12766
jammy2211 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Awesome. Provided it's not too expensive I think I'll buy this, probably just for novalty. It just seems weird, I dig the style anyway.
