Olympic Gamer Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 This is pretty much a warning as it seems I have been treated very shoddily by their security department which authorizes all the details. Today, my entire internet banking account was blocked off. I had called regarding the situation, and couldnt believe the answer I got. "It seems that you have mis-spelt your place of birth when you created the account, I can make out what you were trying to type so I'd just like to confirm your place of birth so we can correct that and your access shall be restored" You may be thinking "Hey, thats a pretty good heads up, worst case scenario is that you didnt even have an account and some one else set it up" Problem is, I set up this online banking account well over a year ago, so it has taken them this long to take action and make me aware of it. So, question is, I'm pissed off, where do I complain? Thanks in advance.
Fresh Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Seek maximum publicity possible. When Alliance and Leicester charged me for going into an non-existent overdraft I threaten them and they refunded me and gave me £50.
EEVILMURRAY Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Just go into your branch and scream like a bitch. I doubt they have the time to spend correlating dates in such a minor fashion.
Raining_again Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I got a phone call from my bank (halifax) asking to confirm some details for something. I told them where to go ¬_¬
Solo Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I'm with A&L too and when I went into minus cash they charged me an extra £25 every time I made a transaction while ODR yet my account let me still draw out monies!
ReZourceman Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 What are they actually doing? Just ring them up and say "How do I complain" Plus if you go physically into any bank and kick up a fuss its like a guarantee of refunds to charges. 100% fool proof this method.
