Ready at Dawn, formed in 2003 and comprised of ex-Naughty Dog and Blizzard Entertainment members. It was a leading developer on the PSP platform with games under their belt like Daxter and God of War: Chains of the Olympus as well as the recent Okami Wii port.

Article:

Ready at Dawn--previously a strong supporter of the PSP platform--has officially shuttered development on the portable so it can focus exclusively on the Wii.

Ready at Dawn (Chains of Olympus) even went so far as to post a picture of their PSP dev kits packed up on boxes, ready to be shipped back to Sony.

The news was hardly a surprise, as RaD developers said this would happen when Chains of Olympus went gold in Japan more than a month ago.

Bummer:

Ready at Dawn not going Wii-exclusive

A snippet from the latest issue of GamePro claims that Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus dev Ready at Dawn has ditched PSP development in favor of producing Wii-only titles. Joystiq contacted RAD (pretty cool acronym, huh?) president Didier Malenfant, who was quick to squash the report (although we can't be sure he didn't thwap it with a Wii remote left over from porting Okami to Nintendo's console).

Malenfant further tells that his company "[doesn't] have any Wii titles currently in development." RAD had previously hinted at plans to create games for current-gen consoles after finishing Okami Wii, and just today confirmed that it has two all-new games underway. So, two new games in development, none for Wii ...

Ah cool. They've released some awesome games so far; Daxter, Chains of Olympus and Okami (even though it was a port).

I think they're good at working with limitations, so they definately have the caliber to do something AAA, even though it'll be their first time working on an original IP

EDIT; well that was too much to hope for :(

It was my understanding that Ready at Dawn were a Sony studio...?

they never were... there are Ready at Dawn employees that worked directly for sony (in naughty dog) but they created this studio to be independent.

i knew sony had summat to do with it, just didn't know the full story

Nope, they have done a few first party Sony games, but the fact that they developed Okami on Wii for Capcom shows they are independent.

Anyway, I hope they do eventually do more stuff for the Wii.

Well, keeping things positive, they must have had Wii dev kits to develop Okami, they're not taking photos of those wrapped in boxes...

They duct taped 2 GC SDKs together.

Perhaps they'll pull a Nintendo on us.

Rumor Site: I think they're going to do this.

Them: We aren't going to do that.

3 Months latter...

Them: We are going to do that!

3 Months latter...

Them: Sorry, our game's going to be another 6 months.

Though not very likely.
