Posted May 19, 2008 If I sell my stocks that are at a loss I lose more money because of commission then I originally lost buy investing in them and if I sell the stocks in profit I lose money because the commission is way more then my profit. It costs you a commission to buy or sell, hence why you're down. EDIT: Market is closed. Elsewhere, in the final 20 seconds, one of mine fell from -$4.00 to -$12.00. Posted May 19, 2008 Wow, mine have suddenly rallied, guess that's what the delay between market and website does... I've got on that hasn't moved, one up $6.00, one up $0.15, and one -$0.20. The only reason I'm so low is because I sold those bloody Lockheed Martin shares... Why am I the only one to have made any profit? Because yours sky-rocketed. Anyone who should have a slight profit (like me) has been hampered by the stupid commission fee. You need to rise by more than $9.85 (I think) in a company to profit.
