Posted April 23, 2008 IMO I think Jet Set Radio Future is one of these games. No other game has had me turn it on just to listen to the music (maybe street fighter III third strike) and no other game has had me want to buy the soundtrack. Excellent mix of J-POP (stuff worth listening to), house, drum and beats (this right?) and even a little rap thrown in. The DKC series had nothing to do with that-thank the lord. Mystical Ninja on the N64 was indeed gorgeous. I've a soft spot for Parrappa's soundtrack too. Kick, punch it's all in the mind... And LOL the DKC unmentionable made that stage that featured it in melee a very confusing experience. Starwing had a great tune that I have heard lately in some SSBB vids. The songs just get me humming, whistling and singing away and when one enters my head it immediately makes me want to play a Zelda game again! Posted April 23, 2008 Jet Set Radio goes with out saying. Shadow of the Colossus has an absolutely amazing OST. Katamari is incredibly catchy. Hitman's soundtrack is beautiful, even if I don't like the games that much. The original Sonic's are obviously fucking awesome. Edit- How could I forget Killer 7's? Guitar Hero, Burnout games, GTA games just can't be included due to the fact that they're not actually original. Sure, they're god damn awesome, not gunna take that away from them. Too fucking many to list... Nintendo stand outs Metroid Prime 1 (Intro menu, game menu, all the seperate zones, boss music.) Super Mario Galaxy (Fully orchestrated, jaw droppingly creative.) Zelda: Twilight Princess (mostly the main theme stands out...) Then the obviousness of Smash Bros. Brawl, its basically my favourite soundtrack ever. Tbh, it gets my vote since alot of songs are original compositions. Other great ones! Ace Attorney Series (Especially Apollo Justice) Battlefield Series Castlevania series F-Zero Series Rez Gears of War Half-Life series Halo series (Especially Halo 3, jesus christ) Jet Set Radio/JSRF Katamari Damacy series (although only some are original) Metal Gear Solid Series (Especially 2 and 3 main themes) No More Heroes Ouendan 1 & 2 (2 being my favourite) Sonic music of all fucking time (Bar Sonic R... thats so bad.) Examples such as the main themes from the Adventure series, Sonic Rush, The Mega Drive games... need i go on?
