danny Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 It wasn't english but it was similar ^.^ which is why I asked you where you got it. ^.^, I can't say I'd be that brave to do that, it's taken me two years just to start designing mine! 0.o Well i cant draw to save my life. So there was no point in me trying to design anything. Just leave it him he knows what hes doing

nightwolf Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Actually you'd be surprised how many tattooists have the artistic skills of a 5 year old, all they do is trace over a transfer really. +1 QFT! But there is alot of tattooists who do freehand which can be incredibly beautiful. Danny you should have gone to him with an idea and asked him to draw it, after all he's meant to be a form of artist.. It's taken me a long time to even think of a tattoo basically personally I haven't found anyone I yet trust to put something on my body that will stay for the rest of my life..

nightwolf Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 But the rest of your life might be tomorrow. Youve got to live for today. Maybe so, but I don't need a tattoo to make my life complete. That is not aimed at your tattoo mind you, people seem to take that sort of line the wrong way. I currently am sticking with piercings, even if my last day is tomorrow I'll be happy because of my eyebrow piercing
Raining_again Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 Sorry to bump this thread but I'm in need of some advice. ^^ I got my nose pierced, about 3 weeks ago, and all was good, it was healing nicely etc etc. I now have a spot of some form, just above the hole (odd because i almost never get spots) It looks a little angry, but the piercing itself is not sore in the slightest, and there is no puss or anything coming out of it. It was bleeding, but i cleaned it and its now stopped. Should I attack it with some antiseptic, clean it more, clean it less? Ideas would be muchos appreciated... Cheers ^^
nightwolf Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 sounds like hypertrophic scarring, it's caused by irratation, which could be because it's a ring, change it to a labret or stud and see how that goes. http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Hypertrophic_Scarring if you have a piccie it'd be helpfuly too. You can try sea salt soaks or chamomile teabags apprently are really good for them, just heat up a pure one and whack the actual teabag on your nose. It's more than likely because it's a ring. Its why I had so much trouble with my second tragus if you remember?

And i have noticed i've knocked it a few times.. but not massively, maybe once or twice since i got it :/
nightwolf Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 yeah it looks like scarring. I had the same I had a ring in my tragus and never got it, then got the second done and boom BUMPY BUMPY. Knocking also causes irratation which is probably why its looking even more sore than usual. edit: just be verrrry careful ^.^
Letty Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I had that on my first nose piercing, its just a spot caused by the skin being open and prone to bacteria It might eventually give you some puss, but it will clear up like a normal spot hopefully!

Just change it to a labret will it heals, once it's gone you tend to be ok and can wear whatever. Knocking also causes irratation which is probably why its looking even more sore than usual. So I won't die harhar :P I'm sure I'd have no bother changing it, might stick a hider thing in it, when the bump settles a bit. It was bleeding, and i think its just needing a few days, a bit of careful cleaning and some love <3 Edit: yes it is rather nasty :P

Seen them but never myself..
Twozzok Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Holy shit, I think I had hyperstrophic scarring back when I got my ear pierced (hole long since closed up, hooray for highschool fads) Always thought it was just a small infection that wouldn't go away.

Could be an allergy or a slight irritation to the metal? I got my ears pierced in gold studs (ofc everyone generally thinks gold is the safest to use) but noooo! I actually had a bubble of infection inside my lobe just under my piercing. That was nasty.
nightwolf Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I agree with raining, though if it was gunned it is more than likely just because of the crap jewellery gun studs use (I could write pages about how bad gunned piercings are, but there's alot of info on the net already). Nick allergies too. The bumps quite common, it tends to go away with chamomile or sea salt soaks or even LITHA (leave it the heck alone) depending on your body. ^.^ Gold is completely safe to use raining, just not the plated stuff, anything plated is pretty bad, but because it's so common for gun studs and gold plated earrings and such nobody really takes much notice. Of course real gold is brilliant and nothing wrong with it. edit: I did alot of research a while back and I got so interested I continue to research haha.

I got my ears pierced 3 times with gold (I'm nearly sure it wasn't plated gold, cause my dearest mother looked out for the earrings when I was 13) and I was very careful with cleaning etc. It was like a hideous burning feeling and I had to take them out every time. I got some kind of silver studs this time round, stainless steel or tintanium or some shizzle. And I've had no problem with them at all. And I've not been especially super careful like I had to be with the gold ones. All my nose and lip piercings were done with the same.
Goron_3 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 OK tempted to get the upper part of my right ear pearced but i heard cartilage is a bit of a bitch..? How bad is it?
Raining_again Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 Very sore but so worth it! DON'T GET A GUN PIERCING EVER. (crack cartilidge ftw?) That is all.
nightwolf Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 OK tempted to get the upper part of my right ear pearced but i heard cartilage is a bit of a bitch..? How bad is it? I've had today something called an outer conch, it's somewhat similar to what you want (a helix) but slightly more central and further away from the edge, I've also had two tragi. Alot of people have issues with them, but either use salvon spray (I don't tend to recommend it because salvon can cause issues with certain people) or sea salt soaks. Please don't get it with a gun, get it with a needle, I don't really need to explain all the shattering of cartlige and such, whilst it is the cheaper version, it's such a bad idea. I actually got my outer conch instead of my inner in the end because I just wasn't fully happy with an inner. yay me!
soag Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I have 1 piercing but used to have my lip done at the side and the middle but had to take them out for work Here is the only piercing I have left Ignore the hair havnt shaved there in ages lol. My first tattoo the velvet revolver logo on my right calf. a metallica skull on my back between my shoulders. Would love more tattoos and piercings though.
Raining_again Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 Nightwoolllff take a picture! Also I think warm salty water works the best ^__^ savlon maybe if you have an infection or something, but it usually doesn't come to that. Just be aware it takes a lot of cleaning, and quite a bit of crap will come out of it.
rokhed00 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Piercing is so damned expensive for what it is, fair enough some places you've got to have a specialist, buts stuff like ears and nose, I did all my own with no trouble, even got a friend who did his own nipples and a Prince Albert without any problems.
