Its the same SF we all know. Which is why i'll be renting. I feel tried of the franchise already. The arcade version is nice but its still feels like the same old game that the hardcore will like. After the horrible SF2HDturbo i get the impression many will just be super forgiving of Capcom as they have been with all their games this gen.

Is there confirmation the PS3 is getting an arcade port and not a 360 port? The movie is DVD or Blu Ray?

um. no. You am fail lol.

heavy stuff. Shopto sent mine out today!! :)

Same here! :yay: and at this rate, it should arrive on thursday! Possibly late wednesday as has happened in the past when i ordered at 1pm one day, and got it around the same time the next day. Shame though that I have not heard a squeak out of Amazon concerning my pad though :blank: This time next week i will be whoring myself over SF4 (if that makes sense) while hopefully seeing that Shopto have done the same thing with Killzone 2

Wow. Textbook point missing there dude but, uh, whatever I suppose. This game is going to set XBL and PSN alight in the coming months and it looks absolutely awesome. If you're not in to it then it's your loss.

Jesus Christ Choze, just because you don't like a game it does not make it horrible. I for one am looking forward to this game more than Killzone 2, which I know is a game you adore, yet I find the controls on it shit, and apart from the graphics, is just another generic FPS. My opinion of course. But an opinion thats probably shared with a few forum members, and more than one respected gaming site. Even Eurogamer gave SFIV a 10/10!

I gotta agree here, sure its another rehash of SFII. But one of the main selling points for me is the massive fanbase that guarantees ill always have some online competition and im glad i can jump right into a familiar fighting engine. And of course it looks great graphically too

@Choze, from what ive been reading, both versions of the game are identical and arcade perfect

and according to my preorder info, the anime is on BD for the PS3 version

i saw some cool vids earlier: Moveset breakdowns of Akuma and Genjin (that right?)

they look sick. Especially the old man- his Dragon Punch and Hurricane Kicks are kind of reversed so the punch is a ground dash and the kick goes straight up for air defence.

Yes i do fail if you are wearing your capcom and Street fighter goggles. : peace:

There are better looking Wii games than Sf2TurboHDX (whatever it is) and with more than one frame of animation in the backgrounds.

Are you actually taking the piss? They never wanted to re-invent the wheel, it was a god damn remake of an arcade game!!

Sometimes, honestly.

I'm not getting this. Don't think I have the time to invest to actually get good at it. Wish was there was a demo coming out so could at least try it though, thing is when Soul Calibur came out there wasn't much else I was playing so was able to put the time in and get good, this wouldn't be the case with SFIV, barely even found the time to touch HD remix...perhaps should play that some more first.

Didnt get HD remix as found the look of it appalling when compared to Third Strike. SF4 on the other hand looks like a beauty and Pit-Jr summed up my main pull, always being able to get a human opponent via online. AI just does not cut it.

It was a lousy remake. Minimum amount of work done. I suppose some of you fans are too blinkered to really see that given that you are used to hash after hash of countless street fighter games.

I get annoyed at full price games why should PSN games be treated better? There are tons of good remakes on Wii or PSP even. The HD thing was rubbish. I'd rather have taken a SD remake with good quality sprites and afew added animation frames in the background. Lazy is the best word to describe SF2THD.

Also check out this game: OboroMuramasaYoutoden3.jpg

Muramasa.

Now thats 2D.

Ever heard of 'Apples and oranges'?

Completely incomparable games, developers, purpose, ideology... Not to mention price point.

Street Fighter Alpha (PS1 port,no online)- $6

Street Fighter 2 Turbo (SNES port on VC, no online)-$8

SF2HDR (online, HD upgrade, new soundtrack, moves)-$15

Seems fair to me. As for the background animation, i barely notice it while im actually playing the game

And goddamnit i want Muramasa on the PSN

Just ordered through Shopto, they're dispatching tomorrow apparently. Orders should arrive Wednesday or Thursday depending on if Royal Mail feel like behaving or not...

I honestly doubt my pad will be with me for Thursday/Friday. I can deal with using my 360 controller for a few days.

I was wondering how sucessfull this venture was for you, as i've ordered the game for pc (i've only got a wii) and am looking for a decent control option.

TBH I have not got round to it yet. I have the pad and the neccessary tools for the job, just CBA. Besides, I have been practising with the PS3 controller on SSF2THDR.: peace:

I can't find a usb pad to strip the necessary parts out of.

Only just realised i'm gonna be waiting forever for the pc version (should have seen that coming), so im playing capcom vs snk 2 on the gamecubes tiny little dpad to help with the wait. Might just crack out champion edition on my mega drive. The official mega drive pads rocked for street fighter, i had a 3rd party pad with the x y and z buttons yet still prefered the official one with the press start to swap between punches and kicks. The d-pad was simply brilliant.

I feel sorry for anyone having to use the 360 controller. It's awful for SFIV. PS3 is the way to go if you're not buying a special pad. In fact it's pursuaded me not to invest in one of those Saturn type controllers because i've just gotten so used to it. I can use the stick and the D-pad and it feels good (though i mainly use the stick now).

yeah but my pad will have Ken on :heh:

360 for me though so yeah. No mercy- essential purchase for me. I love SFII HDR but not being able to pull of a goddamn dragon punch on demand is like I'm playing with a hand behind my back.

Possibly the most beautiful thing, ever?

I'm getting on all right with the 360 controller now; it's just a case of getting used to it. I have gravitated away from the d-pad and towards the analogue stick now, though, which makes most of the special moves easier.
