Indeed it does. You use a Gummi Ship to travel to all the various worlds :) Was very poorly done though, at least in the 1st game.

Now imagine a hub like that with Nintendo worlds...That would be fresh. Or maybe you could use a drain ala Paper Mario. It would be so surreal to witness something like Cloud cruising on his bike across the boar part of the Eldin Province in Hyrule...I know, would never happen...

That's awesome! I usually hate having games duck taped together like that (like this whole Mushroom Kingdom Hearts idea), but that's so over the top it owns!

Despite the age of this topic...

The fact that he's suggesting changing an already existing game in hope that his wet-dreams may actually come true is the problem.

I would have no problem if he made a thread suggesting that Square-Enix and Nintendo maybe one day collaborated in making a game together in a similar style to Kingdom Hearts, but when he suggests taking out Disney and putting in Nintendo then that's just ridiculous to even think, because that will never happen.

Meh Disney isn't for everyone, but at the moment Kingdom Hearts is awesome the way it is.

In my opinion it would be best for Disney to be left out. I've completed both games but the Disney element is the least entertaining part, apart from maybe a Nightmare Before Christmas, because that's just cool.

When people reflect on KH2 it's pretty much all about Roxas, Axel, Organization XIII and fights like Sephiroth, maybe the Tron level too. They were what's cool. There's just something about playing through a storyline that has many of the subplots that happened in the films, therefore you know quite a bit of what will happen. It's just such an odd mix - I mean at one point in KH2

Goofy appeared to have died.

The Disney characters have been taken out of their proper environments and chucked into something that feels false for them to appear in, IMO. The light-hearted Donald Duck and Goofy going around with you attacking monsters and killing them? Never was a good mix.

I do think the games are good though, simply because of the actual gameplay and the stuff that isn't to do with Disney. It really has always struck me as odd, because it seems to be a 14 year + game, which really isn't the target market of Disney.

Guys, SE and Sony never had a binding contract in...well years honestly. SquareSOFT had a contract with them but when the company consolidated and became part of Square-Enix, everything before it became invalid. Hence why SE is tackling a, now, multiplatform approach and are following the market. The reason why majority of your SE home console games were on the PS2 are for the same reasons why majority of your SE portable games are on the DS. They make the most money.

Squaresoft/Enix/Square-Enix has a history of supporting majority of their products, exclusively, to the market leader. It just makes sense for them.

I am willing to bet the Wii will be the leading platform of focus for the publisher in the coming years because, get this, money. :P
