Blackfox Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Evening, I've been clearing out tonight and I've found a shit load of old crappy cables and electrical whatnot. Instead of throwing them away into the bin to be disposed of over hundreds of years in a landfill.. I thought I might do the responsible thing.. recycle. Now, I could just throw them in the plastics bin - but they're all plastic - so to cut a long story short: any place I can get rid of them in a environmentally responsible way? Cheers yo.
Slaggis Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 There's people you can call who come and collect it for you I think. You get charged for it though as far as I know. Maybe call up your local council?
Ashley Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 WEEE! Nintendo call something Wii and people are up in arms, the government do and it goes by unnoticed. Sheesh. (seriously click the link, its what you're looking for. ignore my idiotic ramblings)
Ginger_Chris Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 You should keep it all in a safe place. Technically circuit boards and other electronic waste is more abundant in precious metals like gold and copper than their original ores, so if you saved them until the price of such metals becomes really high, you could sell them off and become a millionaire. Though that might be looking a bit too far into the future.
