Dan_Dare Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 web of Shadows was an abomination. I took my 360 to be tested after I had to review it.
Happenstance Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I quite enjoyed Web Of Shadows, the webslinging was fun but the battles got far too repetetive. Although the best part was having Wolverine give you a quiz on Spider-Man comic history......what were they thinking? Favourite Spider-Man game would either be Spider-Man 2 or Ultimate Spider-Man
Shorty Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Favourite Spider-Man game would either be Spider-Man 2 or Ultimate Spider-Man They were both brilliant because of the webslinging throughout the city, but we get that, it hasn't changed now for ages. The fighting and missions has always sucked. They need to make a real game and put webslinging on top of it, not make a game out of webslinging and put some shitty fights around it.
Happenstance Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Id just settle for webslinging and no fights at all, just let me swing around finding hidden things around the city and I could play for ages
Paj! Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I don't see how Web Of Shadows was an abomination... I enjoyed it, even with the supposedly tricky Wii controls. The only bits I'd change would be plot/story/situation-wise.
Happenstance Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I only played it on the 360 (I think), what was supposed to be wrong with the Wii controls for it?
Paj! Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Well nothing wrong, but in the gamespot review IIRC they said that it was sometimnes hard as a lot of different actions required similar movements from you, the player, so you could mess up stuff. I never really got that, personally
Dan_Dare Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 they were on a wii remote? :p back to comics! who took over X Men after Whedon & Cassiday? Is it worth reading?
Happenstance Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Ellis and Bianchi, I havent read enough to be able to give a proper recomendation or not but I didnt particularly like it after Whedon left so I dropped it for Uncanny
ReZourceman Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Same here....although well I was getting Uncanny since the....Finch was it? Finch artwork. But yeah it was shit. Got about 3 issues of Astonishing.
Happenstance Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I was getting Uncanny during the Shi'ar yearlong arc but I think about halfway through that was when I stopped getting single issues yet again
Paj! Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I read the first arc of Astonishing. (up to the releasing of Colossus) and then stopped until the Shi'Ar warfare bit in Uncany in space, which I read (and quite liked).
Mundi Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Just read the first volume of Planetary, seeing as I am a gigantic fan of The Authority and Stormwatch. It is a very good read and it´s about the secret history of the 20th century in the Wildcats universe. Also it´s Warren Ellis. How can you not like his work!
ReZourceman Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 More custom clix! In the works are Wolverine and Captain America (Bucky) New costume Invincible. Powerplex Conquest What do you guys think?
DomJcg Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Stand ready for my arrival worm. They look epic :P not sure about him but otherwise looking grand
Molly Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 You've got the shading on the glutes just right :p They're excellent, I'm awed by your talent once again!
ReZourceman Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I enjoyed brushing Invincibles ass. Cheers folks. Your comments make it all worth it/the fact that the figures look awesome.
DomJcg Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I realise theres 3 things that have never been explained in invincible, ones hardly nescessary though. The first are the robots that the maulers have, they've been shown once, and mentioned another time but thats it, which is fine, i doubt they could hamper whats left of the world atm but meh The second is what eve saw when the purple aliens attacked, a reeeeally fast figure was flying by. Last is in issue 7, the green ghost of the guradians of the globe (former) his tee shirt had the viltrumite logo on it. ooo
gmac Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 yeah the invasion one intruiges me, who was flying by? and why did it cause the aliens to leave?
ReZourceman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Interesting points. I really need to properly re-read Invincible one day. I flick through all the time but yeah. Just saw on Jason Howards Deviant art page, on his issue 18 cover page. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. Thaaaaaaaanks! He replies to pretty much every person who comments, I think thats awesome of him. Definitely buying some of his (and Ottleys) art when we move out. For "The Awesome Room" On IGN re Dark X-Men thing. "The Dark Avengers take on the Uncanny X-Men! Kicking off the 6-part crossover event, rising star Matt Fraction is joined by X-artist supreme Marc Silvestri to bring you a story that shakes the foundations of the Marvel Universe. When mutant riots break out in San Francisco, Norman Osborn declares martial law and sends the Dark Avengers in to quell the riots and take down the X-Men. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Don't miss the first Avengers/X-Men crossover in over 15 years!" Erm.....
Happenstance Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 You know, as much as im hating Ultimatum (apart from the arc in USM) I really do love this image from Finch:
Paj! Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 You know, as much as im hating Ultimatum (apart from the arc in USM) I really do love this image from Finch: Is there a bigger version? It looks cool. I quite like Finch's stuff, exceot that he can only draw one woman. (in my experience)
Happenstance Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The image is 3000x894, how much bigger do you want it??? :p
Paj! Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The image is 3000x894, how much bigger do you want it??? :p Oh. It got resized. In any case, I remembered I can just "open image in new tab".
