You know what? Wolverine is fucking annoying. He's just not very cool. He's everywhere- on EVERY x men cover they can cram him on to. Nuts to his stupid, adolescent power trip nonsense.

Also brought him to the spotlight even more with the banging cartoon "Wolverine and the X-Men"

He's a wank character, end of.

I wouldn't mind Greg land, but he shoots himself in the foot. His drawing style is very "realistic" so when he copies it's obvious. It's REALLY not hard to make things look different. Storm in that cover didn't have to have the EXACT same face as Scarlet Witch, including the cheekbones in shadow.

It's jus ta bit silly. If you're gonna cheat, cheat well.

If you comment, spoiler tag. Don't want people to even know this is a Heroclix and this tempt them to look and thus spoil the big twist in 51, but yeah. Apart from his skin tone is a little dark....how awesome am I?!?!?!

Need comments on the above for people up to date.

No Muzzy, its unacceptable. He uses pornstars and stuff, and it just looks ridiculous. He basically can't draw action. Its horribly distracting and a real shame because Rachel and Terry Dodson are fucking gorgeous IMO, their work on Spider-Man was fucking amazing. Excactly Paj. He uses porn stars FFS!!!!!!!! Its not appropriate.

Look at Pixie! SHES IDENTICAL TO SCARLET WITCH ugh its just soooooooo bad.

Its difficult to read because its so destracting/dis.

Is Land only doing the covers?

If so, that's fine. His covers are dynamic (ignoring what they're composed of). I don't like it when it's inside the issue.

too true. Unless it's in Ultimate X Men in the hands of Mark Millar- in which case he's immense.

there are just so many more x-men who are a thousand times more interesting. Cyclops, Beast, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Angel, Sage, Rogue, Emma Frost, Iceman...fuck, pretty much everyone actually. Wolverine is just boring.

Dodsons do a few issues (stunningly gorgeous) and then Land does a few (rapes my eyes)

Look at this weeks issue. Its a joke. A mirror image, that doesn't look effective.

You can only tell who those characters are cos of the obviousness, they all look identical. WHERE the fuck are Spirals top arms coming from?!?!?!

Evidence of the porn stars.

Now that you mention it, any pose of pain, happiness etc in his work will forever be assumed to have come from porn (as it probably did).

That's a bit ridiculous.

Also that he uses neve Campbell as a reference so much.

God damn Greg Land, as usual he should not be allowed to work when there are so many more talented people out there.

What amazes me aswell is the fact that Marvel must know about this by now, I mean so many comic fans are outraged by this and have provided credible evidence of what he does. Yet he is still paid to work for them!

Finished my Wolf-Man :)

And apparently Walker is coming back to Invincible for issue 66 and 67 and apparently its to setup the Viltrumite war. I dunno how solid the second bit of info is, but his return seems fairly concrete.

huh. I'm not that keen on Walker.

Word. I'm not his biggest fan, however Destroyer (out a few weeks back) is actually really good, and assuming FCO is still on colours, it could look sweet and be....an interesting interlude.

66 front cover, Cory Walker. Not bad.

Yesterday afternoon during G4 TV series Attack of the Show's Fresh Ink segment, Blair Butler announced acclaimed artist and INVINCIBLE co-creator Cory Walker will return to illustrating INVINCIBLE in a two-part story setting the stage for the upcoming 'Viltrumite War'!

"While Cory has been working behind the scenes in the INVINCIBLE crew, it's great to have him back for these two very special issues," INVINCIBLE co-creator and writer Robert Kirkman said. "They're going to be pretty damn momentous in the grand scheme of INVINCIBLE as we place the spotlight on INVINCIBLE's dad, Nolan, and his new partner, Allen the Alien, while they seek the only weapons capable of taking down the Viltrumite empire. It's gonna be awesome!"

Walker and Kirkman's newest creative collaboration takes place after the fan-favorite issue in which Invincible's father, Nolan, broke free from Viltrumite prison with the assistance of Allen the Alien. Their successful escape led to Nolan joining forces with Allen and the Coalition of Planets in their efforts taking down the Viltrumite empire. Walker's new action-packed two-part shocker will have ramifications leading up to the major confrontation the entire series has been building towards as the 'Vitrumite War' begins in INVINCIBLE #75.

INVINCIBLE #66, a 32-page full color comic book for $2.99, will be in stores September, 2009.

tencharrrr

well it's nothing huuuuge- they're running from the herd. It's got some ace character stuff in though, and one scene that made the pit of my stomach drop. you know...one of those bits. Solid issue, but I imagine you could wait till next week and get Invincible #61 at the same time. I downloaded it myself so....
