Oh god, I saw the Michelle Obama and Lady GaGa ones on...the shelf of...that..shop..I go to for my comics.

Evoking the "purse lips, dart eyes away from subject, awkward silence".

I'm going to be sick:

She looks a bit like Olivia Williams in that image. Can we have a comic based on her instead?

I also want a Judith Butler comic. It'd be amazing.

Just seen the art for Amazing Spider-Man #642, looks like it doesnt really matter that OMIT made me drop the book again. I would have done it anyway after seeing that art.

I quite liked it. I prefer Mike Allred for a similar thing, he kinda makes that "retro", clear style his own, but not everyone is as great as he is.

Of course you did

Well you put your opinion out there, I put mine...I wasn't saying you were wrong. I just found I enjoyed it more as the issue went on.

I thought it was a bit meh. The art was really nice but the story itself needs a bit of a kick up the arse.

The monsters they are fighting are just nothing, they're not interesting. The dialogue still pisses me off, everyone sounds too similar with all the joking going on. To be honest if Bendis carries on writing all the heroes this way I may just drop the Avengers books until someone else takes over.

The end was ok though, should hopefully change things up a bit.

I loved New Avengers, but then I never read ANY of the old New Avengers run, and only some Mighty, so him writing the team hasn't grated on me at all. I prefer this to what's been going on in Avengers.

The HUGELY (strangely?) hyped/exposed Uncanny X-Force 1 gets a new variant cover, despite there being tonnes of great ones already (and the interior art being stunning):

I love the titwank imagery with the boobed lady whose name I forget (comic n00b).

I found a load of my random Buffy comics before I gave up (and some Angel...and one Chuck) and don't have any need for them. Had a check on ebay and got a meh impression. Is there somewhere out there that will appreciate them more? I'm not looking to make a profit as such (money'll be nice but I'm not expecting a huge return) but is there a more specialist comic version of ebay?

Psylocke - everyone's favourite british psychic supermodel turned japanese ninja. She's playable in X-Men Legends and MUA2 if you've played them. (And she's my avatar)

Is Liefeld the actual artist for Uncanny X-Force or is this just general promotional art from other artists you sometimes get?

Mercifully no. The actual artist, Jerome Opena is brill (from what I've seen), the interior art so far looks genuinely stunning.

^ I love this one. "Cunts on radar. They'd better be ready to die."

The Liefeld one is just a variant cover - presumably he got to do it because of his ties to the original X-Force...but his art back then was actually BETTER. Which is bizarre.

So did you guys ever watch the Superman Animated Series, the 90s one?

Ive just been flicking through Final Crisis again and seeing Dan Turpin in that reminded me of the version from TAS which Darkseid killed. Its probably my favourite moment in any of the DC animated shows.

I saw a few back in the day, but I only ever actively watched the Batman animated series, and then Justice League. I enjoyed Superman though. I knew all the villains from the very primitive website WB had for it in 1998, and I remember seeing the one with the light-based villain. Lumo or Lumina or something. And I liked the animated Parasite too.

Couldnt really find a vid of the actual part of the episode but someone did put some music over it and I think you can still pretty much tell whats going on.

As I said, my favourite moment of any DC animated show.

One of those annoying moments where they change the books to fit the movie story instead.

Same thing happened with Jurassic Park. In the first book the character Jeff Goldblum plays died, yet in the movie he lived. When it came to writing the second book the movie producers made the writer just magically have Goldblums character alive again in the book so it would match with the movie.
