Fierce_LiNk Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 The Verve are set to reunite for a winter tour. The original band of Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe,Simon Jones and Pete Sailsbury have got together for the first time in almost a decade. In a statement, the band have announced they were: "Getting back together for the joy of the music." It is believed they will take a summer break and then return to the studio to complete their next album. The band broke up in 1999, with the tumultuous relationship between Ashcroft and McCabe being well documented with the two exiting the band repeatedly since they began in 1993. The band are set to play: Glasgow Academy (November 2,3) Blackpool Empress Ballroom (5,6) London Roundhouse (8,9) Tickets are set to go on sale on July 6. I never EVER thought I'd get to see these guys, and the possibility dramatically fell after they split up. Omg, this is like one of my dreams has come true (the other is being covered up in chocolate and being throw into an army of sexy ladies) I can't believe it! YES! I NEED these tickets.
Monopolyman Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Nice. I might try and wrangle some tickets for Blackpool if I can afford it (probably can't).
Mikey Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 They were cool back in the day. My taste on music has moved on though. They're still capable of being kick ass though.
Platty Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Well looks like I'll be getting tickets to the roundhouse Great news.
Wesley Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I shat a brick in excitement when I heard this. 6 gigs and new album, it's the stuff dreams are made of. Although Simon isn't joining cause he's too busy with The Good, The Bad, And The Queen.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 'Triffic. As if they didn't bring enough shit to the music industry.

Gaijin von Snikbah Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Joy. Bittersweet symphony was a dandy song when it was released.
