|Laguna| Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Why don't you use DreamWeaver? Or MoonFruit.com. I've heard good stuff about it. Am going to you for myself I the near future. One reviews comments "SiteMaker is probably one of the best multi-purpose site-building tools - that is, suitable for business and personal use alike. Business will love the well-designed templates and eye-catching colours and Joe Average will enjoy the extra features, such as animations, MP3's and chat forums, which add professional flair to even basic sites. It's easy to get to grips with and, with a wealth of images on the library, you can get started immediately." Plus it's free. http://www.moonfruit.com/
Raining_again Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 dreamweaver rocks my socks, but typically i use just the siomple notepad to do my coding, thats the way i learnt to code. oh ya fatrox and id be happy to do it for free
Bren Posted October 21, 2005 Author Posted October 21, 2005 well, it wil be for hosting a comic series, so nothing that complicated, well i wudnt think it wud be lol, but wot do i know, basically, a news section (thats easy to update) and a comic section that stores all the comics, and has the typical PREVIOUS NEXT ARCHIVE setup that most comics have, but that wud have to be easily updateable as comics wud be up every 2 - 3 days
RoadKill Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 If you want a proper news section, you'll need webspace than can support scripting, the most important that comes to mind would be php.
Charlie Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I can code in PHP/mySQL (the language RE is written in), contact me if you're interested.
Calza Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I would do and it would be the BEST site done by a 13 year old, shame that won't be any good. I'd work for free tho
Bren Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 I can code in PHP/mySQL (the language RE is written in), contact me if you're interested. added you to msn, ill talk to you on it sometime
Shorty Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 This should've been posted in the Creative Board. Then I would've spotted it yesterday and drawn you up a template. I do have a template already for a comic I nearly started with someone which I could code for you for cheap. As aforementioned easiest way to have it easily updatable is make sure you get hosting with a MySQL database and php enabled, then I would set it up so you simply fill in a few fields per update and you're home free. PM me if you're still looking by the time you read this, and I'll show you the template.
Bren Posted October 23, 2005 Author Posted October 23, 2005 short, i pmd u but stil no reply, pm me wen u get chance
