Ramar
So I've been using Windows Movie Maker but I want a more complete or more advanced video editter. I'm making a video using counter-strike clips, with background music. So if you can recommend me some decent software, preferably freeware I'd be very greatful. Bogbas
There's an open source(free) editing program also available. http://www.jahshaka.org And it works on windows, linux and osx. I can't say much about it though as I haven't used it actually. But it's free so you might want to try it.

Jasper
Noticed how Caris said "IF your on a Mac" ? Edit: Incidentally, this might be the best CAD strip ever. What's up with this lame underdog-bashing going on here lately? Without mac, windows wouldn't be nearly as good as it is now and macos X wouldn't stand so far in the future without windows. There's no much needless bashing lately, it's pafetic. Couldn't we all just be nice guys and admit that, while they're underdog, they might just make the best prodeucts? if the roles were turned, Microsoft would make the better products, too. Simply because the underdog jsut does that. That doesn't justify the need of stupid apple-bashing. Sorry, guys, but this is getting out of hand. At least come with some usefull arguments if you want to bash. On Topic: Final Cut has been advised, but you can work wonders with iMovie if you're on mac and Adobe Premiere is a very good one too (I've worked with it and Adobe proves the lot). Just make sure you have heaps of RAM and a good processor or you can just forget editing videos totally.

Jasper
My PC can handle video editting.. I just need software for a Windows PC.. Only iMovie doesn't work on a PC, all the rest is just as compatible on a Windows PC. So get Final Cut pro by apple or Premiere (or the entire quite wich includes sound editing and all)from Adobe. DCK
I found that Magix Video Studio or whatever works pretty intuitive. I'm a total noob on this subject though so don't take my word it's a good program. All I can say that it works quite well if you're a novice. Bogbas
Macs are nice and all that but they wouldn't be helpful in this situation. 1. It would be a waste of money (note: "preferably freeware" in first post) 2. If there's a need to get new footage, you just can't fire up taxi/fraps and css on a mac. You'd still need a windows pc to do that. And then you'd have to transfer them from one machine to the other. 3. (relates to 1.) Getting a mac to do this job would be as sensible as shooting a fly with a bazooka.
